JELET 2025 Merit Lists

The authorities will release five different merit lists for JELET. These lists will be prepared based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance exam and will be presented in the form of rank cards. The merit lists will include the General Merit Rank (GMR), which will be arranged in descending order of marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying exam.

Mentioned below are some key points to remember when preparing for the WBJEE JELET 2025 merit list:

  • The rank card will show the General Merit Rank (GMR).
  • Each candidate category, such as SC Rank, ST Rank, OBC-A Rank, OBC-B Rank, and PwD Rank, will have separate reserved category merit positions.
  • The GMR will be used for counselling, seat allocation, and admission.
  • If the candidate's category is found to be incorrect during verification, no admission will be granted based on the category. In such a case, the candidate will be considered in the general category based on their GMR.

Tie-Breaking Criteria for WB JELET 2025

At times of tie between candidates, the JELET Tie-Breaking criteria will be considered as mentioned below-

  • First, the candidate with the least number of negative marks overall will be selected.
  • Candidates with the highest combined score in Engineering Mechanics and Strength of Materials will be given the next preference.
  • The next tiebreaker will be applied for candidates with the lowest negative marks in Engineering Mechanics and the Strength of Materials will be considered.
  • To break a tie, the total positive marks in Engineering Mathematics, Electrical Technology, Computer Application, and Environmental Engineering will be taken into account.
  • Lastly, candidates with a minimum number of negative marks in Engineering Mathematics, Electrical Technology, Computer Application, and Environmental Engineering will be considered.

Eligibility Criteria for JELET 2022 -

  • Citizenship: The candidate must be an Indian national.
  • No higher age limit applies to diploma holders in engineering, technology, or pharmacy.
  • As of December 31, 2022, the maximum age for B. Sc. candidates is 27 (twenty-seven) years old.
  • As of December 31, 2022, the maximum age for marine engineering diploma holders is 25 (twenty-five) years.
