The authorities will release the Kerala B.Tech lateral eligibility criteria on the official website. Applicants seeking admission through Kerala LET 2026 will be required to fulfil the following criteria. The eligibility criteria will comprise education qualification, age, and domicile. Below are the Kerala LET 2026 eligibility criteria.
Candidates who are appearing in the final year of their 3-year diploma engineering course will also be eligible to apply for Kerala LET 2026.
Candidates should have attained the age of 18 years as of December 31.
Both Keralites and non-Keralites will be eligible to apply. Non-Keralite candidates will be considered for State Merit seats under Government seats and Management Quota seats.
Candidates should have qualified the diploma course in Engineering/ Technology with at least 45% marks (40% for SEBC / SC/ST category) from any state board of Technical Education or Institutions under Govt. of India.
Candidates who have qualified stream and allied sector in Engineering/Technology with at least 45% marks (40% for SEBC /SC/ST category) from any state board of Technical Education or Institutions under Govt. of India.
Candidates who have qualified BSc in Mathematics with at least 45% marks (40% for SEBC / SC/ST category) from any recognized university will also be eligible to apply.

Step 1 - Registration and filling of application form - Candidates have to enter the details asked in the application form of Kerala LET 2026 carefully. The details asked in the form include the candidate’s name, family details, address for communication, educational details, and the option of the branch for which the candidate wishes to get admission etc.
Step 2 - Payment of application fee - Once all the details are entered correctly in the application form, candidates have to proceed towards the payment of the application fee. They have to pay the fee prescribed by the authorities by generating an e-challan and submitting it at any State Bank of India branch. The fee has to be deposited in the Shakti Account of The Joint Controller of Technical Examination, Kerala.

Step 3 - Uploading of documents - After filling out the application form, candidates need to upload a recent photo and signature in jpg format. Moreover, the required certificates and documents are also required to be uploaded online. Below is the list of documents to upload online.

The authorities will release the exam pattern of Kerala LET 2026 online. Candidates can check the Kerala LET 2026 exam pattern to know the marking scheme, duration of the test, types of questions, mode of exam and more. The authority will conduct the Kerala BTech Lateral Entrance Test offline. The duration of the test is of two hours. There will be no negative marking for wrong attempts. The authority will announce the Kerala LET 2026 admit card release date online. The Kerala LET admit card 2026 will be issued in June 2026. The registered candidates will be able to download the admit card of Kerala LET 2026 using the application number. The admit card will consist of the candidate's basic details, exam date, and centre address. Applicants must carry the Kerala LET admit card on the exam day. Below are the steps to download the Kerala admit card 2026.
The authority will declare the Kerala LET exam result link on the website, lbsapplications.kerala.gov.in. Candidates have to provide the application number to check the result of Kerala Lateral Examination Test. On the scorecard, candidates can check the total marks scored by them in the examination. Candidates are advised to take a print out of the scorecard as it will be used during the counselling process.
After the declaration of the result, the authorities will publish the merit list of Kerala LET 2026 online. The merit list will be prepared based on marks scored by the candidates in Kerala LET 2026 and all the candidates who will be a part of the list are eligible to participate in the further rounds of admission process. To be a part of the merit list candidates will have to secure a minimum of 15% marks for the General category, 12% for SEBC, and 10% for SC/ST category candidates.
The authority will announce the DTE Kerala LET 2026 counselling schedule online. Candidates whose names appear in the merit list can participate in the Kerala LET 2026 counselling. The authorities will conduct a total of three rounds of counselling. After each round of counselling, the authorities will allot seats to the candidates and if any candidate accepts the allotted seat then he or she will not be eligible to participate in the subsequent rounds of counselling. In case, seats are left vacant after three rounds of Kerala LET counselling, an additional round or the spot round will be held.
