    IIT BHU M.Tech Admission 2026 - IIT BHU has started the IIT BHU M.Tech Admission 2026 process. The authority has activated the IIT BHU M.Tech 2026 admissions link on the official website, pgadmission.iitbhu.ac. Candidates can apply for admission based on scores in GATE through online counselling. The IIT BHU registrations is being conducted from March 20 to April 13, 2026. The IIT BHU 2026 exam will be condcuted from April 24 to 30, 2026. The GATE scorecards 2026 will also be available for download from March 27, 2026. Candidates who want to pursue an MTech at IIT BHU should also register for COAP 2026 counselling along with the institute registration. Candidates with higher scores in GATE 2026 will have a high chance of admission to the institute.

    IIT BHU M.Tech Eligibility Criteria 2026

    Candidates seeking admission to the M.Tech programme at IIT BHU should meet the eligibility criteria specified by the institute. Candidates who fail to meet the IIT BHU M.Tech eligibility criteria will not be offered admission to the candidates. Below are the eligibility criteria of IIT BHU admission 2026.

    Candidates should have obtained a B.Tech or equivalent degree in a relevant discipline.

    Percentage Requirements

    Candidates should have passed the qualifying exam with at least 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a scale of 10.

    IIT Graduates

    IIT Graduates having CGPA of 8.0 or above are exempted from having a GATE score. They will be selected based on interviews.

    IIT BHU M.Tech Application Form 2026

    The authorities has released the IIT BHU 2026 M.Tech application form at the official website. Candidates need to register at the COAP portal along with the IIT BHU M.Tech 2026 application form.

    Steps to fill IIT BHU M.Tech 2026 Application Form

    Step 1 – Registration: Candidates had to first register by providing their name, date of birth, parent’s name, valid email address and various other details. Upon successful registration, candidates received login credentials on the registered email ID.

    Step 2 – Filling the application form: In the next step, candidates were required to fill out the following details in the application form of IIT BHU M.Tech admission 2026.

    Personal details – It included details like name, date of birth, nationality, category and address for correspondence.

    Primary programme to study – Candidates had to select the programme they wished to get admission into.

    Qualifying examination details- It included details like GATE score and rank, roll number, year, and discipline.

    Step 3 - Uploading documents: Candidates also had to upload all the necessary documents, such as a photograph and signature, in a specified format. It should be less than 50 KB. Candidates were also required to upload a GATE scorecard.

    Step 4 - Payment of application form: Finally, after entering all the details, candidates were asked to make the payment of the IIT BHU M.Tech admission 2026 application form. Candidates could pay the fee online through SBI Collect.

    Step 5 – Download the application form: After filling out the application form, candidates were advised to download the form and take a printout of it.

    IIT BHU M.Tech Admission 2026 - Selection Procedure

    The authorities will offer admission to the candidates based on GATE scores. Candidates who fill out the application form within the due dates and register for COAP will be considered for admission. The allotment of seats will be done through centralised counselling conducted by COAP. Students will be required to check the COAP 2026 portal as per the seat allotment schedule to check their admission status.

    Candidates having higher marks in the IIT BHU M.Tech cutoff will have a high chance of admission. The authorities will also conduct a written test and interview as part of the selection process. The final admission list will be available on the institute's website.

    Document required for shortlisted candidates

    • Class 10 Certificate containing DOB or Birth Certificate.
    • e-receipt of the application processing fee.
    • Category Certificate in the prescribed format.
    • PwD certificate (if applicable).
    • Medical fitness certificate from any registered medical practitioner.
    • GATE 2026 scorecard.
    • Mark sheets/Grade sheets/Degree certificates of all academic records.
    • A copy of the system-generated application form.
    • Copy of e-acknowledgement.
    • Undertaking letter (applicable for candidates who are offered admission) in the prescribed format.

    IIT BHU M.Tech Cutoff 2026

    The authorities will release the cutoff of IIT BHU M.Tech admission 2026 on the official website after the completion of all rounds of counselling. The IIT BHU MTech cutoff will be the minimum GATE score required by the candidates to be eligible for admission to the institute.
