DCECE 2019 – Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) will conduct DCECE 2019 (Bihar Polytechnic) tentatively in the 2nd week of May 2019. DCECE 2019 will be a pen-paper-based exam that will be held for admission to diploma engineering, 4-year part-time polytechnic engineering diploma, para medical (intermediate-level), and para medical-dental (Madhyamik-level) courses. DCECE aspirants seeking admission to engineering diploma courses need to appear in Polytechnic Engineering (PE) paper, which will include 90 objective-type questions from physics, chemistry and mathematics. The application form of DCECE 2019 will open tentatively in the 3rd week of March and have to be filled online – please note depending on the paper the candidate is appearing in application fee will vary. The result of DCECE 2019 will be declared around the 4th week of June. Candidates who qualify in the exam will have to register for counselling which will be conducted online. DCECE 2019 has separate papers for admissions to – PE, PPE, PM, and PMD courses. So, candidate needs to be choose the correct paper.

DCECE Eligibility Criteria 2019

A candidate will be considered for admission only if he/she meets all the prescribed eligibility criteria of DCECE 2019 (Bihar Polytechnic). Any candidate who does not meet DCECE 2019 eligibility criteria may be disqualified at any stage of the admission process. Important eligibility criteria of DCECE that the candidate needs to meet include that of academic qualification, age limit and also domicile. Check the course-wise eligibility criteria below.

 DCECE 2019 Eligibility criteria- PE

  • Academic qualification – The candidate needs to have passed Class X exam conducted by Bihar board or any other equivalent exam with minimum 35% marks. Candidates who are appearing in Class X exam in 2019 may also apply.

  • Age limit – there is no minimum or maximum age limit.

Eligibility criteria of DCECE 2019 – PPE

  • Academic qualification - The candidate must have passed Class X exam or any equivalent exam, and also hold a hold a two-year ITI certificate.

  • Age limit – The candidate needs to be no less than 18 years of age as on July 1, 2019.

DCECE Eligibility criteria 2019 – PMD

  • Academic qualification – The candidate needs to have passed Class X or an equivalent exam, with science and English as compulsory subjects.

  • Age limit – The candidate needs to minimum 15 years and maximum 30 years of age as on December 31, 2019.

DCECE 2019 Eligibility criteria – PM

The requirements vary depending on the programme applied for admission. So, candidates are urged to check the official notification.

 Additional eligibility criteria common for all four courses

  • Domicile – The candidate needs to be an Indian citizen whose:

    • Parent is a permanent resident of Bihar

    • Parent enjoys refugee status in the state

    • Parent is employed with Bihar government

    • Parent is employed with the central government in Bihar

    • Parent works with the UN and is currently posted in the state

  • The candidate also needs to be medically fit.

DCECE Application Form 2019

The application form of DCECE 2019 has to be filled online using valid data. To fill the DCECE 2019 application form, the candidate has to get registered, fill personal details, upload relevant documents, and also pay the application fee.   • Registration – The candidate will need a valid email id and mobile number to register for Bihar Polytechnic 2019.

DCECE Exam Pattern 2019

Exam pattern of DCECE 2019 for PE and PPE course

  • The exam will be conducted in offline (pen-and-paper based) mode.

  • The duration of the exam is 2 hours 15 minute

  • Question paper will include a total of 90 questions – 30 each from physics, chemistry and mathematics.

  • 5 marks will be awarded for each correct answer. The total marks for the paper will be 450.

  • Questions will be set in English and Hindi languages

  • Candidates will be provided with OMR Answer Sheets, where answers have to be entered by darkening balls.

DCECE Admit Card 2019

Exam authorities will release the admit card of DCECE 2019 (Bihar Polytechnic 2019) in online mode tentatively in the first week of May 2019. Candidates can download the DCECE 2019 admit card by logging into the admit card download portal using their registration number and date of birth. The DCECE admit card will carry important details like the roll number, address of the exam centre, and date and time of exam. It is important that the candidates check the details mentioned on the admit card are correct and legible – in case of any discrepancy get it corrected by contacting exam officials.

DCECE Result 2019

Exam authorities will release the result of DCECE 2019 in online mode tentatively in the first week of June, 2019. The DCECE 2019 result would be available in the form of rank cards, which can be downloaded by logging into the result portal using one’s roll number and date of birth.

The rank card of DCECE 2019 (Bihar Polytechnic 2019) would carry such details like the roll number, total score, qualifying status, merit rank and also date and time of interview.

DCECE Merit list 2019

Along with rank cards, the exam authorities will also release merit lists of DCECE 2019, which can be downloaded simply by clicking on the download link – no log-in will be required. DCECE Counselling 2019

The counselling of DCECE 2019 will be conducted in online mode tentatively from the last week of June 2019 onwards. The DCECE 2019 counselling process would include steps like online registration, filling and locking of choices, seat allotment, and payment of seat-acceptance fee. The counselling process would be open for only those candidates who have qualified in the entrance exam.

 

DCECE 2019 Counselling Procedure

  • Online registration – The candidate has to get registered first by selecting the appropriate course, and then by filling in registration number, name, date of birth, and security code. Upon submitting these details, the data filled by candidate at time of filling the application form will appear on screen along with a few new fields that the candidate has to enter afresh – like if the candidate had selected “Appearing” in Class X, the pass details have to be entered. The candidate will also have to select a password for the account.

  • Choice filling – The candidate must enter choices in the order of preference; it is recommended to fill as many choices as possible to maximize one’s chances of admission.

  • Locking of filled choices – After choices have been properly filled, lock them.

  • Seat Allotment - The seat allotment of DCECE 2019 will be conducted online, based on the merit rank, choices entered, and also the category of the candidate. The DCECE 2019 seat allotment will be published online – authorities intimate about seat allotment to candidates at registered mobile numbers. Candidates who have been allotted seats need to physically report at Reporting Centres (RCs) on the scheduled date and time, failing which the candidate may be disqualified. During DCECE 2019 counselling (Bihar Polytechnic), all candidates will be considered for auto-up-gradation, so candidates must be very careful when filling choices. Or else, they will end up being offered a low preferred seat after up-gradation if choices are not entered properly (during choice filling).

  • Payment of admission fee – To pay the admission fee, the candidate must report at a Reporting Centre or the allotted college with a demand draft of Rs. 1000, drawn in favour of rincipal of concerned Institution. Cash payment is also allowed.
