DCECE 2020 - Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) will conduct DCECE 2020 on May 9. DCECE 2020 will be a pen-paper based examination for admission in various engineering diplomas in the polytechnics across the state of Bihar. Candidates are requested to check the eligibility criteria of DCECE 2020 before applying for the exam. No candidate will be eligible for final allotment if he/she does not fulfill the minimum DCECE eligibility criteria 2020. Candidates can refer the eligibility criteria for both the engineering diploma courses offered under DCECE 2020 mentioned below:
Domicile- Candidates must be Indian National whose-
Parent is a permanent resident of Bihar or
Parent enjoys refugee status in the state or
Parent is employed with Bihar government or
Parent is employed with the central government in Bihar or
Parent works with the UN and is currently posted in the state.
Medical Fitness- Candidates should be medically fit.
Candidates must have passed Class X exam conducted by Bihar board or any other equivalent exam with a minimum 35% marks.
Candidates appearing in Class 10th in the admission year are also eligible to apply.
There is no minimum or maximum age limit for the exam.
Candidates must have passed Class X exam or any equivalent exam, and must also hold a two-year ITI certificate.
Candidates should not be less than 19 years of age on 1st July 2020.
Candidates can apply for DCECE 2020 or Bihar Polytechnic online through the official website. The application form of DCECE 2020 is now available for candidates from March 18 to April 17. All of the required details should be filled by the candidates and should also be valid in nature. Applications after the final date will not be accepted by the authorities. Candidates can follow the given steps to apply for DCECE 2020.
Step 1: Registration - In the first step, candidates will have to register for DCECE 2020 by entering a valid email ID and mobile number.
Step 2: Personal Details - After registration, candidates will have to enter their personal details like name, gender, date of birth, communication details, etc.
Step 3: Uploading of Documents - After entering their personal details, the candidates will be required to upload the scanned images of their photograph and signature as per the specifications given by the authorities.

Step 4: Educational Details - Next, candidates have to enter their academic details like exam passed, subjects studied, board, etc.
Step 5: Preview of Application Form- Once all the details will be filled by candidates, preview of the application form will be displayed on the screen. Candidates have to check their details.
Step 6: Payment of Fee - The next step of the process is payment of application fee. Candidates will be able to pay the fee in both online (net banking/credit card/debit card) or offline mode (e-challan).
Step 7: Print out of Application form- The last step is to take the print out of the completed application form (Part A and B).

In case of a tie of marks between two or more candidates, the authorities will use the following tie-breaking rule to determine the rank of the candidates.
Candidates with higher marks will be given higher rank.
If the tie still persists, candidates with higher marks in Physics will be given higher rank.
If the tie still persists, candidates older in age will be given higher rank.
Along with the rank card, the authorities will also release the merit list of DCECE 2020. Candidates can simply access DCECE 2020 merit list by clicking on the list, they are not required to login for it. Candidates are shortlisted for counselling and seat allotment on the basis of merit list.

Registration - Candidates will be able to register online for the counselling of DCECE 2020 by selecting the course to be applied and then entering their registration number, name, date of birth and security code. As the candidates will enter these details, data entered by them at the time of filling application form will be displayed on screen along with some new fields like if a candidate entered “appearing in qualifying exam” then the pass details will be asked. Enter all the required details and finish the registration.
Choice Filling - Once the registration is completed, candidates will have to fill their choices of courses and polytechnics. Candidates should choose their choices carefully as on the basis of these choices, they are allotted seats.
Locking of Filled Choices - Once candidates have filled the choices, they will have to lock their choices.
Seat Allotment - On the basis of merit list, category, choices locked and availability of seats, candidates will be allotted seats. The counselling will have different rounds and the seats allotted will get auto-updated according to the locked choices of candidates.
Payment of Admission Fee- Candidates will have to report to the allotted college with a demand draft of Rs 1000 in favor of the principal of concerned Institution in order to pay the admission fee.
