The admission authorities will release the result of Kerala polytechnic admissions 2020 as the provisional rank list tentatively in the third week of June. After the release of the provisional rank list, the candidates will get a chance to challenge it in case they find any discrepancies. Later, after considering all the grievances that candidates might have with the provisional rank list, the admission authorities will release the final rank list/result of Kerala Polytechnic 2020. The authorities will release the final list or Kerala Polytechnic result 2020 tentatively in the last week of June.
Department of Technical Education will conduct the Kerala polytechnic admissions 2020 to offer admission to the following two diploma courses:
Stream 1 - Diploma course in Engineering & Technology
Stream 2 - Diploma in Commercial Practice/Diploma in Computer Application and Business Management
The admission authorities will first release the provisional rank list/result of Kerala Polytechnic 2020 to allow candidates to challenge it if they find any errors or mistakes in it. In order to challenge or make a complaint, candidates will have to get in touch with the principal of the Polytechnic College where the application was submitted within the three days of the release of the provisional rank list/result for Kerala polytechnic 2020 or before the last date that will be released by the authorities. Challenges made after the last date will not be entertained.

The selection of candidates for Kerala polytechnic admissions 2020 will be done on the basis of marks/ grades that the candidate will secure in SSLC/THSLC or equivalent exam. If the qualifying exam will be based on the old system i.e not based on grade then the marks obtained by a candidate in the qualifying exam will be converted to 9 points absolute grade. Note - Candidates who will pass a qualifying exam (old system) with less than 30% marks for individual papers and are eligible for studies, then they will be considered to have passed with D+ grade.
The admission authorities will publish the rank list of the centralized allotment in online mode.
For stream 1, Kerala Polytechnic result 2020 or the rank list will be prepared according to the score index for stream 1. Depending upon the rank list prepared for respective programs, seats will be allotted to candidates.
For stream 2, Kerala Polytechnic 2020 result or the rank list will be prepared according to the score index for stream 2. Depending upon the rank list prepared for respective programs, seats will be allotted to candidates.
Many times, a scenario arises in which the index score secured by two or more candidates is the same. In such cases, the authorities consider the tie-breaking process to merit rank for those candidates and then the final Kerala polytechnic result 2020 will be declared.
Candidate secured a higher Average Grade Point (AGP) in Mathematics will be given preference. (AGP of different papers will be considered if two or more papers will be included for the subject in the qualifying examination)
Candidate who secured a higher Average Grade Point (AGP) in Physics will be given preference In case, physics is not a separate subject then AGP for science will be considered.
Candidate who secured a higher Average Grade Point (AGP) in English will be given preference (Average Point of different papers if more than one paper is included for the subject in the qualifying examination).
If the authorities still fail to prepare a merit rank list, then a candidate who will be older in age will be placed higher.

The trial seat allotment will be released in the third week of June along with the provisional rank list/result of Kerala Polytechnic 2020. With the help of trial allotment, candidates will have an idea about their probable chances of getting a seat according to their preferences that will be filled in Kerala Polytechnic application form 2020. During every round, candidates will get a chance to revise their preference.
There will be three rounds of Kerala Polytechnic admissions 2020 and the first round will be conducted in the last week of June. After three rounds if any seats will be left vacant then there will be a spot round. Once the seats are successfully allotted then the candidates will have to report for admission at the prescribed date and time.
