The GATE 2027 CSE syllabus has been published by IIT Madras on the official website. As per the latest update, the GATE 2027 CSE syllabus includes the General Aptitude, Engineering Mathematics, Discrete Mathematics, and Core Computer Science Subjects. It will consist of Engineering mathematics, Digital Logic, Computer Organization and Architecture, Programming and Data Structures, Algorithms, Theory of Computation, Compiler Design, Operating System, Data structures, Algorithms, Theory of Computation, Compiler Design more. The General Aptitude section is made up of 15 marks and the CSE section is made up of 72 marks. The GATE 2027 exam will be conducted on February 6, 7, 14, 16, 20 & 21, 2027. The authority has released the GATE 2027 syllabus online.

Operating System | The topics cover system calls, processes and threads, inter-process communication, concurrency and synchronization, and deadlocks. It also includes CPU and I/O scheduling, memory management, virtual memory, and file systems. |

Negative Marking | For MCQ questions, marks are deducted when the selected answer is wrong. A wrong answer in a 1-mark question results in a deduction of 1/3 mark, while 2/3 mark is deducted for a wrong answer in a 2-mark question. MSQ and NAT questions do not have negative marking. Also, MSQ questions are not given partial marks. |
