    Established in 2001, Dhirubhai Ambani University (DAU) is a private state university located in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. DAIICT Gandhinagar, renamed as Dhirubhai Ambani University, is also accredited by NAAC with an “A+” grade. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD courses.     Careers360: Tell us something about yourself, such as where you are from.

    Mrunali Parmar: My name is Mrunali Parmar, and I am from Saudi Arabia.

    Careers360: What activities are offered in the institute? Are there any clubs, etc., for the various extracurricular activities? Which ones have you taken up and are a part of?

    Mrunali Parmar: I am part of the Khelaiya club core and the Student Placement Cell core.

    Careers360: Describe a typical day at your institute – what do you do from the time you wake up till you go to sleep?

    Mrunali Parmar: Attend classes, go to the lab, and then go to RC to finish up some of the homework.

    Careers360: What facilities do you have on campus? What do you like here the most, which you feel is unique and differentiating?

    Mrunali Parmar: There are various facilities at the campus, some of them are a Badminton court, Nescafé, and other sports activities.

    Careers360: How do you balance your studies, projects, exams and other activities?

    Mrunali Parmar: We just do it.

    Careers360: Tell us about the clubs and societies at the campus and how significant they are from your point of view or students' point of view?

    Mrunali Parmar: They are a very significant part of campus life, and it makes you fresh and energised after a long day of academics

    Careers360: Is there any in-house magazine or journal for the latest events or happenings at the institute?

    Mrunali Parmar: Yes, there is a press club for this.

    Careers360: What are the popular hangouts at the institute? What, according to you, are the most-visited places nearby?

    Mrunali Parmar: Canteen, badminton court, LT-foyer

    Careers360: How do you spend your leisure time on campus?

    Mrunali Parmar: Playing badminton, walking with friends around the campus.

    Careers360: Do you have any Facebook page of your campus where the students express their views, jokes or ideas, or maybe even a blog where they write about their experience of life on campus?

    Mrunali Parmar: No. But some of the students make videos and post on social media

    Careers360: What type of companies come for campus recruitment, and what percentage of students get placed every year? How is the recruitment process here?

    Mrunali Parmar: Google and Goldman Sachs for SI only; many other companies like BNY, Bank of America, Unify Apps, and Sprinkler come for recruiting. Around 75% of students got placed in this drive.

    Admission to the ICT branch at DAIICT depends on your GUJCET rank, board marks, category, and the year's cutoff. With around 85–90% in PCM and a 100+ score in GUJCET, there may be a chance for SEBC category students, but it depends on the final cutoff during counselling.
