DAIICT B.Tech Admission 2018 – Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information & Communication Technology has released the application form of DAIICT B.Tech Admission 2018. The candidate will have to enter personal details like -age, gender, and nationality, and academic details like qualifying exams passed, marks scored, and also JEE Main 2018 credentials, including roll number and rank obtained to fill the form. The application fee of DAIICT B.Tech admission is Rs. 1200 which has to be paid online. The application will close on July 1, 2018 and will be followed by the publication of a merit list. DAIICT B.Tech admission 2018 is conducted to admit candidates to its B.Tech (ICT) and B.Tech (Honours in ICT with minor in Computational Science) programmes. DAIICT 2018 B.Tech admission will be on the basis of JEE Main 2018 scores. DAIICT B.Tech admission route is open to all India category candidates and will be used to fill 50% of seats. DAIICT B.Tech Application Form 2018
Candidates can now start filling the application form of DAIICT B.Tech 2018. The application form has to be filled online and includes steps like entering personal details and academic details. Personal details include information about age, gender, and nationality. The candidate will also have to enter his/her JEE Main 2018 details, like roll number, rank and marks scored. JEE Main details are important because admission to the B.Tech courses will be based on AIR ranking of the candidate in the entrance exam. Before filling the application form of DAIICT 2018, the candidate must go through the eligibility criteria carefully. Also, only genuine information must be entered, or else the application might be rejected at any stage of the admission process.
The non-refundable application fee of Rs. 1200 can be paid online through netbanking/ credit card/ debit card. The cadidate must remember to download and take a printout of the acknowledgement slip after making the payment.
DAIICT B.Tech 2018 Eligibility Criteria
Qualifying Exam: The candidate must have passed 10+2 or any equivalent exam with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and any one of Chemistry/Bio-technology/Computer Science/Biology. Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in 2018 can also apply under provisional basis.
List of qualifying exams accepted by DAIICT
Final exam of 10+2 system, conducted by a recognized central or state board, such CBSE or CISCE
Intermediate or two-year pre-university examination from a recognized board or university.
Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy.
Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects.
Any Board/University/Public School examination in India or in a foreign country recognized by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as equivalent to the 10+2 system.
H.S.C. vocational examination.
A Diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education of at least 3 year duration.
GCE examination (London/ Cambridge / Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
Age Limit: Candidates born on or after October 1, 1993 can apply.
Selection Criteria: Admission to B.Tech programmes for all India category seats at DAIICT will be based on All India Rank (AIR) obtained by candidates in JEE Main 2018. 50% of the total seats at the institute are to be filled by all India category candidates.
The remaining 50% seats will be filled through GUJCET, by candidates belonging to the state of Gujarat who have passed a qualifying examination from a school located there.
DAIICT Merit List 2018
The exam conducting authority will publish the merit list of DAIICT 2018 on July 6, 2018. The DAIICT 2018 merit list will be prepared based on the AII India Rank obtained by candidates in JEE Main 2018. The counselling of DAIICT 2018 will be based on the merit list, with candidates placed higher getting preference over lower placed ones. DAIICT 2018 merit list candidates would have to pay the corresponding fee for admission by the due date and report at the DAIICT campus for document verification. Seats will only be confirmed post successful document verification.
DAIICT Counselling 2018
Candidates will be shortlisted for counselling of DAIICT 2018 based on their All India Rank in JEE Main 2018. To participate in counselling, candidates will have to get registered; registration is expected to open in last week of July 2018. Candidates who are ranked higher in the DAIICT merit list 2018 will be called for counselling first and have more choices. It may be noted that all communication will be through email and the website only, and there will be no offline communication through post or other means. So, candidates need to keep checking their accounts and website for updates, like for checking merit list and counselling schedule. During registration, the candidates will have to undergo document verification process at DAIICT campus.
Post document verification, candidates would have to participate in orientation programme.
