VITEEE Counselling 2026 Process
The authorities will conduct the VITEEE counselling 2026 online mode. Thus, candidates should be aware of the process that they will have to follow to participate in the VIT counselling for B.Tech. The step-wise process for VITEEE counselling is explained below:
- Step 1 - Check VITEEE rank - As the authorities will release the VITEEE counselling dates 2026 based on the range of ranks obtained by candidates, they must be aware of the rank secured in the exam. VITEEE 2026 results will be announced along with the rank list.
- Step 2 - Registration - As the VITEEE counselling 2026 is conducted in online mode, candidates have to complete online registration. At this time, candidates have to fill out the form and express the category, their preference of course, and campus.
- Step 3 - Verification of Documents - Candidates need to upload certain documents to prove their eligibility for admission through VITEEE. Check the instructions properly regarding this before proceeding to the VIT Counselling venue.
- Step 4 - Allotment of Seats - Once the documents are verified, candidates will be allotted seats for VIT B.Tech admission based on their ranks and preferences filled by them.
- Step 5 - Payment of VIT counselling Fees - After acceptance of the seat so allotted during VITEEE 2026 counselling, candidates will be required to pay the relevant admission fees at the campus to confirm their admissions. A demand draft of Rs. 50,000 has to be drawn in favour of “Vellore Institute of Technology” payable at Vellore. It may be noted that of the total amount, Rs. 11,800 will be the VITEEE counselling fees which shall be non-refundable.

- Eligible Candidates attending Phase‐I counselling (Rank holders between Rank‐1 to Rank‐ 10000) will be allowed to attend the counselling only with a DD of Rs.50,000/‐ drawn in favour of ‘Vellore Institute of Technology’, payable at Vellore. This includes Rs.11,800 (including GST) towards the VIT counselling fees. The VITEEE counselling fees will be Non‐Refundable, but it will be adjusted in the Academic fees once the candidate joins the Institute
- Eligible Candidates attending Phase‐II counselling (Rank holders upto Rank‐110000) will be allowed to attend the counselling only with a DD of Rs.2,00,000/‐ drawn in favour of ‘Vellore Institute of Technology’, payable at Vellore. This includes Rs.11,800/‐ (including GST) towards the counselling and processing fee. The Counselling and processing fee is Non‐Refundable, but it will be adjusted in the Academic fees once the candidate joins the Institute
- Candidates requiring hostel accommodation will have to submit the hostel fee of Rs. 1,00,000/‐ at the time of counselling by a separate crossed Demand Draft in favour of ‘Vellore Institute of Technology, payable at Vellore.
Documents Required during VIT Counselling 2026 for B.Tech
Candidates need to carry the following documents while going to report for verification of documents during VITEEE counselling 2026:
- VITEEE Admit Card
- VITEEE Result.
- Class 10 board passing certificate or any other certificate to prove the age of the candidate.
- Class 12 board mark sheet or passing certificate.
- Class 12 hall ticket (For candidates awaiting results).
- Qualifying examination mark sheet (if available).
- Community Certificate (for SC/ST candidates).
- Demand draft of Rs. 50,000 drawn in favor of “Vellore Institute of Technology” payable at Vellore.
- For Hostel - Demand draft of Rs. 21,000 drawn in favor of “Vellore Institute of Technology” payable at Vellore.
- Nativity Certificate (for candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura).
