When preparing for JEE Mains Chemistry, focus on chapters with the highest weightage to maximize your efficiency. The most weightage chapters are Some basic principles of organic Chemistry and Hydrocarbons which carry 10 to 8% weightage of whole chemistry. Prioritize studying high-weightage chapters first but ensure to cover all key areas for a well-rounded understanding.
Understand the Syllabus and Exam Pattern: Focus on the JEE Main Chemistry syllabus with weightage. Prioritize high-weightage chapters by reviewing the pyqs. And know the exam pattern.
Create a Study Plan: Allocate more time to JEE Mains Chemistry's most important chapters and topics. Dedicate specific times for each high-weightage chapter to ensure coverage of chapters. Once complete the whole chapters of Chemistry.

Utilize Quality Material: Check recommended books and use materials that have questions based on JEE Main Chemistry weightage.
Revise Daily: Revising daily, majorly the high weightage chapters helps to memorize in a better way. Study usually tested concepts and try solving previous years' questions.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Yes, the NCERT books are enough for the preparation of JEE Mains Chemistry, majorly due to Inorganic Chemistry. But more practice in questions related to Physical Chemistry is also needed alongside that.
High-weightage chapters should be your main focus. You have to be very good in these chapters and then you can study the medium- and low-weightage chapters for better preparation.
You should not ignore any chapter solely, even low-weightage chapters are important. Chemical Kinetics or Biomolecules, these chapters help in increasing the overall scores. Generally there are 1-2 questions from these chapters but it can also make or break your rank.
Organic Chemistry generally carries more weightage. GOC, Hydrocarbons, and Organic Compounds Containing Oxygen are some of the very crucial chapters.
The chapter "Some Basic Principles of Organic Chemistry" and Hydrocarbons carries the highest weightage.

Hi aspirant,
If you are willing to give jee and you are in 12 th then it is best to focus from now on as u have to give your boards this year as well . And according to the exam pattern you can prepare for your jee prelims with you boards at the same time it is hardly differ from each other .
