Dear student,

With a general OJEE MCA 2025 rank of 224 and an SC category rank of 11, your chances of getting into the top MCA colleges in Odisha are excellent. The SC rank of 11 is especially strong and should comfortably secure you a seat in the best institutes during the counseling process.

You should definitely aim for colleges like Utkal University (Bhubaneswar), KIIT School of Computer Applications, SOA University, and CV Raman Global University. These institutions are known for their quality education, placements, and reputation in Odisha. With your rank, you are very likely to get a seat in the first round itself, especially in government colleges or top private ones.

Make sure you participate in the OJEE counseling, fill in your preferences with the best colleges at the top, and keep all your documents ready. Your rank puts you in a great position, so focus on choosing the college that best matches your career goals and interests. Congratulations on your achievement.

Best of luck

hi,

Yes, you can get admission in CV Raman Global University, Bhubaneswar for B.Tech lateral entry in Electronics and Communication Engineering through your OJEE rank. The college accepts diploma holders for lateral entry based on OJEE counselling. Usually, if your OJEE rank is within a decent range, you have a good chance. For ECE, the cutoffs are generally not very high, and students with ranks even up to a few lakhs have got seats in the past.

If your rank is within 3 to 4 lakh, you should have a good chance of getting admission comfortably. Even with a slightly higher rank, you might still get a seat in later counselling rounds.

  • With your OBC rank (1.35 lakh) and 75 percentile in JEE Mains, getting ECE at CET Bhubaneswar via OJEE counselling is unlikely .

  • Last year’s ECE cutoff rank was around 1,02,728 (general category).

  • State domicile may help, but your rank is still higher than typical cutoffs.

  • Consider other branches or private colleges with lower cutoffs.

Here’s the Careers360 link for OJEE cutoffs:
OJEE Cutoff 2025 - Careers360

With 75 percentile in JEE Main 2025, CRL rank 3.7 lakh, and OBC rank 1.35 lakh, getting ECE at VSSUT through OJEE counselling with state domicile is tough. The cutoff for ECE is usually much lower. But don’t worry—you can try for other branches like Mechanical or Civil, which may have higher cutoffs. Also, some private Odisha colleges accept your score. If possible, improve your score next time for better chances. Keep checking the OJEE website for updates.
