OJEE Counselling 2019 - Candidates who wish to take admission in participating institute will have to either qualify JEE Main entrance examination or take special OJEE 2019 test in order to participate in counselling of OJEE 2019. Odisha Joint Entrance Examination Board (OJEEB) will be conducting OJEE 2019 counselling tentatively from third week of June. Candidates applying must have qualified JEE Main entrance examination to be eligible for admission process. Non-JEE Main qualified candidates will have to attempt special OJEE test to participate in counselling of OJEE 2019. For candidates to participate in OJEE Counselling 2019, candidates will have to register first and then have to select their preferred choices where they would like to get admission. After the registration, candidates will have to get their documents verified at nearest OJEE nodal centres. Candidates will be allotted seats upon successful document verification. Thus, candidates are advised to come along with all required documents and a set of photocopies for document verification process. Candidates will be allotted seats in preferred college and course depending on the availability of seats, merit and preferred choices. OJEE 2019 Counselling 

The admission authorities of examination will conduct counselling of OJEE 2019. Candidates participating in OJEE Counselling 2019 must have qualified JEE Main 2019 and must carry a valid score to be eligible for participation in counselling process. During counselling of OJEE 2019, candidates will have to register first and then fill their preferred choices in order of preference. Candidates will then have to download their seat allotment letter and visit nodal centres for document verification process. After successful document verification, candidates will be allotted seats on the basis of preferred choices entered, availability of seats and merit list. Candidates will have to pay the admission pay to confirm their allotted seats.


Steps Involved in OJEE Counselling 2019

Step 1 - Registration

Candidates need to have qualified JEE Main 2019 entrance examination in order to participate in counselling process. Firstly, candidates will have to register themselves where they need to select their preferred course and enter JEE Main 2019 roll number and date of birth. Thereafter, candidates will have to provide details regarding address, mobile number, bank details, etc. and password will be generated. In case, candidates have entered wrong details, it will be easier for them to correct or modify the details. Candidates are then advised to take a printout of their registration form and pay counselling fee amounting Rs. 450/-  through online mode (Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking) or through offline mode (E-Challan).


Step 2 - Choice Filling and Locking

Candidates will now have to lock their entered choices entered in order of their preference. Candidates will be able to select their preferred college from list of college offering admission through OJEE 2019. Candidates in this step will be able to add, edit, delete, swap and move their entered choices of college or course. It is advised that candidates must select maximum number of choices to increase the probability of getting admission in preferred college and course through counselling process. Candidates must check details after activating “Choice Lock” facility. After selecting Lock option, an OTP will be received to registered mobile number which has to be verified to get choices locked. Thereafter, take a printout of locked choices for later use.


Step 3 - Temporary Seat Allotment

Admission authority will release temporary seat allotment in first and second week of July respectively. Two rounds of temporary seat allotment will be conducted by the admission authority. Candidates will be informed regarding the temporary allotment of seat through SMS or email.


Step 4 - Reporting at Nodal Centre for Admission Fee Payment

Candidates will have to report to Nodal centres for document verification process along with a challan on any SBI or Axis Bank Branch of Rs. 25,000 as admission fee. Candidates can even make their payment of application fee in an online mode through Credit/Debit Card or Net Banking. Candidates who wish to withdraw from allowed to withdraw within time specified after which no cancellation of will be entertained.


Step 5 - Verification of Documents at Nodal Centres

All candidates who have been allotted seats will have to report to nearest nodal centres for document verification process. For the document verification process, candidates are required to bring along all documents along with a set of photocopies. Domicile candidates will have to submit any one of the following documents:

  • Resident/Nativity Certificate in original from concerned Revenue Officer not below the Tahsildar

  • Certificate of Employment of candidate’s parent. Employer: Govt of Odisha/Govt. Of India/Govt. Of India undertakings/Govt. Of Odisha undertakings located in Odisha at the time of application in original

  • Qualifying examination pass certificate from Odisha in original and self-attested photocopy


List of Documents to be submitted for Verification

  • JEE Main 2019 Result

  • Online registration slip of OJEE 2018 counselling

  • Payment Slip

  • Class 10th certificate or any other document showing the candidate’s date of birth

  • Class 12th standard mark sheet and pass certificate

  • Resident/Nativity Certificate in original from concerned Revenue Officer not below the Tahsildar.

  • Original SC/ST/ Certificate by birth state of Odisha

  • Income Certificate for TFW candidates

  • Green Card issued by Family Welfare Department of Govt. Of Odisha

  • Ex-Serviceman candidates to apply at Rajya Sainik Board and verify whether their name is recommended or not.

  • Original Certificate in support of Outlying Odia Speaking Tract category

  • Certificate in support of NRI

  • Medical Certificate from SCB Medical College by PC candidates  

  • Certificate of Employment of candidate’s parent. Employer: Govt of Odisha/Govt. Of India/Govt. Of India undertakings/Govt. Of Odisha undertakings located in Odisha at the time of application.

  • Qualifying exam pass certificate from Odisha


Step 6 - Final Seat Allotment

Candidates who were allotted seats temporary seat allotment process will get their final allotment tentatively in third week of July. Newly registered candidates will also receive their final allotment letter. Candidates allotted seats will be informed through SMS on their registered mobile number and letter must be downloaded from website after logging.


Step 7 - Reporting at Allotted Institute

Candidates will have to report to allotted institute after downloading their final allotment letter. Candidates will have to pay the balance fees after successfully completing all admission related formalities. After the allotment of seats, a registration card will be generated for the candidates participating in counselling process.
