JELET 2019 - WBJEEB has released the result of JELET 2019 in the form of rank card on August 8. Candidates can check their result by login to the website using the application number and password. The exam authorities have released admit card of JELET 2019 in online mode on July 2. Candidates could download their admit card by using the application number and password. Application form of JELET 2019 was available in online mode from March 26. Applicants need to duly fill and submit the application form on or before April 16. A state-level exam, JELET 2019 will be conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) on July 14, 2019. Admission to 2nd year (3rd semester) of four-year engineering & technology and pharmacy degree courses offered by participating institutes in West Bengal will be through JELET 2019. The exam was offline-based and would be of 2 hours duration. Questions will be multiple choice type, but the question set will vary depending on the qualifying exam the JELET applicant has passed. Candidates seeking admission to degree courses under the lateral entry scheme must meet the JELET 2019 eligibility criteria specified for the course. Additionally, if they apply to Jadavpur University, there will be a separate set of criteria one has to meet, as explained below.
Nationality: The applicant needs to be an Indian national
Diploma holders in Engineering and Technology
There is no upper age limit
Diploma holders in Pharmacy
No upper age limit.
The applicant shouldn’t be more than 27 years as on December 31, 2019
Diploma holders in Marine Engineering
Upper age limit is 25 years as on December 31, 2019
Eligibility Criteria for admission to Engineering & Technology Degree Course
The candidate must hold a Diploma in Engineering/ Technology with a minimum of 45% marks (SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, and PwD candidates need 40%) or equivalent CGPA.
All prescribed norms of D.G. Shipping will be applicable for admission into Marine Engineering
B. Sc. candidates
The applicant must have B.Sc degree with a minimum of 45% marks
The candidate must have passed the 12th exam with Mathematics as one of the subjects
Please note B.Sc candidates will be considered for admission only if there are vacant seats left after accommodating Diploma holders.
Eligibility Criteria for admission to Degree Course in Pharmacy
The candidate must have passed diploma in Pharmacy with at least 45% marks or equivalent CGPA. 5% relaxation is minimum marks applies to SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, and PwD candidates.
Special JELET 2019 Eligibility Criteria for admission to Jadavpur University under Lateral Entry Scheme:
B.Sc candidates are not eligible for admission under lateral entry
Diploma candidates must have passed 10+2 or qualifying exam in regular mode
Applicant must also have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as mandatory subjects scoring minimum 60% marks in these subjects taken together. SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, and PwD candidates need only 45%
Also, all candidates need to have passed English minimum 30% marks in the qualifying exam
Admission to 1st year Engineering and Technology/Pharmacy
Diploma holders and B.Sc candidates are eligible for admission to 1st-year courses, provided there are vacancies in 1st year after lateral entry quota is filled up.
JELET Application Form 2019
WBJEEB has released the application form of JELET 2019 from March 26 to April 16 in online mode. The JELET 2019 application filling process would include steps like registration, filling of essential information, uploading of photographs and application fee payment. The steps given below are for reference purpose only.
How to fill the JELET 2019 Application Form
Registration – To start the application process, the candidate has first get registered by entering valid email id and a mobile number, and other details like name, the name of parents, and date of birth.
Filling of application form – Next fill in personal, academic, and communication details in the relevant fields. Please ensure that the details entered are correct and genuine.
Uploading of documents – Scanned images of photograph and signature have to be uploaded in the prescribed format; refer table below for reference.

JELET Exam Pattern 2019
The exam pattern of JELET 2019 contains details like the number of questions asked, marking scheme, and mode of exam. By consulting the JELET 2019 exam pattern, the candidate will be able to prepare more effectively.

Duration: 2 hours
Mode: The exam will be conducted in OMR (offline) based mode and comprise one paper
Question type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) questions, each having four answer options out of which only one is the right answer
Marking Scheme: For each correct answer, 1 mark will be awarded, while for incorrect attempt there is a penalty of -1/4 (25% negative) marks.
Language: Question paper will be set in the English language.

JELET Admit Card 2019
JELET 2019 admit card is available for download from July 2 onward. The admit card of JELET 2019 is an important document that all candidates need to carry with them on exam day, as without it no candidate will be allowed to write the exam. Also, it will need at the time of counselling and for completing other admission formalities, so it must be preserved safely. The admit card of JELET 2019 will carry information like name and address of the exam centre, exam date and time, roll number, etc.

JELET 2019 Merit ListsWBJEEB will release five types of merit ranks or merit lists of JELET 2019. These merit lists will be prepared based on marks scored by the candidate in the entrance exam. Rankings for each of these five types will be in the form of General Merit Rank (GMR), with rankings done in the descending order of marks obtained in the entrance exam. In case of a tie, tie-breaking procedure would be adopted to decide merit rank. Additionally, there will be separate category-wise merit lists as well for candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, and PwD candidates.
For the purpose of sequencing counselling and seat allotment, however, only the GMR merit rank will be considered. Category ranks will be used for sequencing in respective categories only.

JELET Counselling 2019
The counselling of JELET 2019 will be conducted shortly after the declaration of result and in offline mode. JELET 2019 counselling will be open to only those candidates who have obtained a rank in the entrance exam. Eligible candidates then have to report for counselling in person on the designated date and time with originals and photocopies of all relevant documents.
The JELET 2019 seat allotment will be based on the merit rank of the candidate. In case of candidates belonging to reserved categories, category-wise allotments will also be prepared.
