OJEE Eligibility Criteria 2019 - Odisha Joint Entrance Examination Board (OJEEB) will release the eligibility criteria of OJEE 2019 in online mode along with the information brochure. Candidates applying for admission must refer to OJEE 2019 eligibility criteria before they fill the application form. OJEE eligibility criteria 2019 consist of certain parameters which candidates will have to fulfil to be considered for admission purpose. These parameters include age limit, qualifying exam marks, subjects combination, nationality etc.To prove their eligibility, candidates will be required to produce their original documents like resident proof as and when required, otherwise they will not be considered as credible for admission in the participating institutes of OJEE. OJEE 2019 Eligibility Criteria
Candidate must be a citizen of India to be considered eligible for OJEE 2019. Candidates coming under NRIs and persons of Indian origin category can also apply for admission, however, they will be considered only for supernumerary seats.
Candidate need to have passed their 10+2 exam as conducted by Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha or any equivalent exam to get admission through OJEE 2019.
Marks in the Qualifying exam
To become eligible for OJEE 2019, candidates will be required to secure minimum 45% marks in aggregate in their qualifying exam. For SC and ST candidates, the minimum requirement is 40% marks under the same parameter.
Subjects combination in Qualifying Exam
Candidates need to have the following subject combination according to OJEE eligibility criteria 2019:
Any one of these subjects
10+2 or equivalent exam
Candidates will have to pass in each of these subjects separately.
As per the eligibility, there is no age limit for OJEE 2019.
Qualification in JEE Main 2019
The admission to B.Tech programmes offered by engineering colleges of Odisha will be on the basis of JEE Main 2019 scores. The shortlisted candidates will be invited for counselling according to their JEE Main rank.
OJEE Eligibility criteria for Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW):
Candidates applying under Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme will have to fulfil the following parameters of OJEE 2019 eligibility criteria:
The scheme of TFW will apply to all technical institutions approved by AICTE
Candidates whose parents’ annual income will be less than Rs. 6 lakhs (Rupees six lakh only) from all sources will be considered under this scheme.
To avail benefits under this scheme, candidates will have to submit the income certificate of the current year issued by local Tehasildar at the time of document verification.
As per the scheme, only the tuition fee will be waived off as approved by Odisha Government Fee Committee for self-financing Institutions and by the Government for Government Institutes. All other fee amount will have to be paid by the candidate.
Candidate will have to be a native of Odisha to be able to avail facilities of this scheme. Such candidates will have to submit a proof during document verification of their Resident/ Nativity Certificate in original from concerned Revenue Officer not below than Tahsildar.
