  • Should have secured at least 45% marks in their qualifying examination. Candidates of the reserved category have to score 40% marks.

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics/ Mathematics / Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Biology/ Informatics Practices/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/ Entrepreneurship (AICTE Process Handbook, 2022-23/ 24-25-27) OR Passed 3 years Diploma with at least 45% marks

(40% marks in case of reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral

entry are exhausted.

LE Tech

Passed Minimum 3 or 2 years (Lateral Entry) Diploma examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in ANY branch of Engineering and Technology.

OR Passed D.Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector. (the students belonging to B.Sc. Stream shall be considered only after filling the supernumerary seats in this category with students belonging to the Diploma stream) (The Universities may offer suitable bridge courses such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering drawing, etc., for the students coming from diverse backgrounds.

OR Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics as a subject.

What is the Admission Criteria for B.Tech Course in Odisha?

Candidates looking for admission to BTech courses should have a valid JEE Main score. However, if seats are left vacant after admitting the candidates based on JEE Main scores, then the board will conduct a separate entrance exam known as the special OJEE. Candidates who have not been able to appear in the JEE Main exam for any reason can apply for admission through the special OJEE. A separate merit list will be released by the authorities for JEE Main qualified candidates and OJEE special qualified candidates.

The authority commenced the OJEE 2026 registration process on January 28, 2026. Candidates have to check the eligibility conditions before applying online.
