How to Prepare Effectively Based on VITEEE Chapter Wise Weightage 2026

1. Study the Higher Weightage Chapters First: Provide more time to the chapters which have higher weightages so that you do not miss out on areas from which you would score.

2. Time Table Preparation: Divide time to different subjects and give importance to higher weightage chapters and complete those first and build their knowledge base for those particular chapters

3. Regular Practice: Do lots of problems related to Physics and Maths chapters and daily revisions of Chem for building the memorizing part.

4. Mock Tests and Previous Papers: Try solving VITEEE mock tests and previous year's question papers to find out what is getting repeated most of the time and where one can manage time.

5. Concentrate on Time Management: Attempting the maximum number of questions that can be done in the given time frame while maintaining constant time throughout the test.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. What is the significance of chapter-wise weightage for VITEEE?

Knowing chapter-wise weightage will allow you to know in advance which topics have been appearing with a higher probability throughout the years. By targeting these high-weightage chapters, you can optimize your study time and hopefully maximize your marks.

2. Which chapters in Physics weigh more for VITEEE?

The areas such as Electrostatics and Current Electricity, Magnetic Effects of Current and Magnetism, and Optics tend to carry maximum weightage in Physics. These topics tend to have more questions, hence it is a must that focus is given during preparation.

3. How should I plan my study time for subjects according to the weightage?

More time should be given to those chapters that have more weightage in each subject. For example, more time must be given for Coordination Chemistry and Electrochemistry in Chemistry, Vector Algebra and Probability in Mathematics, and Current Electricity and Optics in Physics. In this way, all major topics will get enough time.

4. Are the topics in VITEEE the same as the JEE syllabus?

Yes, the VITEEE syllabus overlaps largely with JEE Main. However, the questions asked in VITEEE tend to be less tough compared to that of JEE Main. The idea is to go through important chapters present in the JEE syllabus, and also to study topics specific to VITEEE in addition to practicing mock tests especially aimed at VITEEE.

5. How can I increase my accuracy as well as my speed for the VITEEE exam?

The practice will help in increasing the accuracy and speed. Take many mock tests and refer to the previous years' papers that have occurred. Practice by imposing time constraints and calculate while solving the questions. Focus on those chapters with higher weightage and ensure you are efficient in solving questions so that you can maximize your score.

Application Deadline: 1st week of April 2026

Slot Booking & Admit Card Release: 2nd–4th week of April 2026

Exam Dates: 4th week of April 2026

Result Declaration: May 2026

Counselling Begins: May 2026

If you wrote the VITEEE exam but did not participate in the counselling, you may still have a chance depending on the current phase of the counselling process.

VIT conducts counselling in multiple phases based on candidate ranks. If you missed an earlier phase, you might be allowed to participate in the upcoming phases like Phase 3, 4, or 5 if your rank fits their criteria.

To take part in the next available phase, you must register on the VIT counselling portal and select your course and campus preferences again. The more choices you fill in, the higher your chances of getting a seat.

However, if you completely skipped the phase that matched your rank, you may not be eligible for the next phase. VIT generally does not allow students to join later phases if they missed the one assigned to them.

In short, if you missed your counselling phase, your chances depend on whether future phases are open and whether your rank fits the cutoff. You should immediately check the VIT official website for the latest updates and see if registration is still open.

Yes, you can join VIT-AP with your AP EAMCET 2025 rank (12,756) without VITEEE.

CSE, ECE, and popular branches may not be possible (cutoff ~7,000).

You still have a chance in less competitive branches during later rounds.

35% seats at VIT-AP are filled via AP EAMCET.

Apply in counselling & mop-up rounds to improve your chances.
