GUJCET Exam Pattern 2026 - GSEB will release the GUJCET 2026 exam pattern on the official website, gseb.org. The exam pattern of GUJCET 2026 will be uploaded along with the information brochure. It will include details of the GUJCET marking scheme, mode of exam, duration of test, types of questions, total number of questions and more. As per the previous year information, there will be 120 questions, 40 each from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in Gujarat CET exam. The paper 1 is for physics and chemistry while paper 2 is for Maths. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 for wrong attempts in GUJCET 2026.
Students must check the GUJCET 2026 exam syllabus and paper pattern together to prepare for the entrance test. After 12th Science PCB group in Gujarat and GujCET , you can apply for courses in B.Sc (Biology/Biotechnology/ Agriculture/Forestry/Fisheries), BPT (Physiotherapy), Nursing, Pharmacy, and Allied Health Sciences . If you had PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) , you are not eligible for B.Tech (Engineering) courses , which require PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) .
Other options include:
B.Sc Nursing (requires PCB + Biology).
B.Sc Agriculture / Horticulture / Forestry (some states accept PCB).
BPT / Occupational Therapy in private or government colleges.
Paramedical courses like Medical Lab Technology, Radiology, Optometry, etc.

Yes, if you are a domicile of Gujarat, your CBSE board marks are considered along with GUJCET for admission into engineering colleges in the state. The merit list is usually prepared by giving 60% weightage to your Class 12 marks and 40% weightage to your GUJCET score. It does not matter whether you studied under CBSE or Gujarat Board, as long as you have cleared Class 12 with the required subjects, your marks will be valid for the admission process.
The GUJCET Merit List is prepared based on the Class 12th marks and GUJCET marks received by the students. CBSE students who are not from the Gujarat board can definitely compete with GSEB students, as their eligibility is decided based on the combined marks scored by them in GUJCET and the 12th board. The weightage of the GUJCET score is 40% and the weightage of the class 12 scores is 60%.
