SIRF Ranking by UP Govt: The Uttar Pradesh Technical Education Department has released the state level of SIRF ranking by the UP government online. According to the recent update, Kamala Nehru Institute of Technology, Sultanpur ranks first with marks 300 out of 234, while the second ranking college is Government Engineering college, with 300 marks out of 206. The state government has started the SIRF ranking for the first time on the lines of the Central Government's NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework). Its objective is to promote quality competition among the government engineering colleges of the state. Government engineering colleges in Uttar Pradesh, such as IET Lucknow, BIET Jhansi, and KNIT Sultanpur, are the main institutions where admission to B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology) is done by means of the UPTAC counseling. This counseling is carried out by JEE Main. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow carries out the UPTAC counseling and admissions in the case of the engineering colleges in degree level and other professional colleges.
