Being one of the 24 JEE Main 2022 toppers has motivated Sathvik for the upcoming JEE Advanced exam. Sathvik desires to do Computer Science Engineering from IIT. Careers360 interacted with Sathvik to know his JEE Main 2022 success mantra, preparation strategy, books referred by her and much more.

Careers360: Congratulations on your performance in the JEE Main 2022 exam! What was your reaction upon knowing your score?
Sathvik - The declaration of JEE Main 2022 result gave me a lot of happiness and a much needed motivation for my upcoming examinations.
Careers360: Tell us something about yourself. Which board have you studied under? Which school have you studied in?
Sathvik - I have studied under the CBSE Board. I did my schooling from narayana co school.
Careers360: Why do you want to study engineering? When did you decide to study engineering? Which branch would you be interested in? Any reason?
Sathvik- Right since my childhood, I was interested in computers and coding. Therefore, I decided to pursue my career in Computer Science Engineering.
Careers360: When did you start your JEE Main preparation? Tell us something about your preparation strategy and daily routine for JEE Main?
Sathvik - My JEE Main 2022 preparation especially towards an end involved solving JEE Main mock tests everyday. Moreover, I used to revise all topics which were incorrect in mocks. Studying memory based questions regularly was also a part of my preparation.
Careers360: Did you face any difficulties since the examination was conducted completely in computer- based mode?
Sathvik - No, I did not face any difficulty in attempting the JEE Main 2022 exam as a computer based test.
Careers360: Was there a difference in the preparation strategy in the last months of JEE Main considering that the board exams are also coming up? How did you manage preparation for Both?
Sathvik - I prepared for my board and JEE Mains simultaneously. When the topics for the board exam were easy, I used to focus more on the JEE Main syllabus. Similarly, when topics for the board exam were hard, I used to spend more time on it. This way, I was able to manage both exams.
Careers360: Did you take coaching for JEE Main and if yes from where? What are the benefits of coaching according to you?
Sathvik - I have been taking classes at Narayana systems for JEE Main since I was in class 8. Coaching has helped me alot be providing me with exposure for this entrance exam.
Careers360: Mock tests and sample papers – how extensively did you practise with the help of these? Do you think practising from the previous year’s papers helps and how?
Sathvik - JEE Main sample paper, previous year papers and mock tests are very important as it helps us get an idea on how the exam standard will be.
Careers360: Are there any special books that you feel have helped with your JEE Main preparation? Are the school textbooks adequate for preparing for JEE Main and Class XII?
Sathvik - Mostly, the JEE Main 2022 questions were asked from the NCERT only, however, candidates should refer to other books to gain more knowledge.
Careers360: Did you face any problems during the JEE Main examination? Which subject was the easiest and which was the toughest in JEE Main? What do you think is a tough thing to manage during the JEE Main exam?

Sathvik - Handling stress is also important in order to gain success. Therefore, to deal with stress, I play cricket and listen to music.
Careers360: Who is your ideal or biggest inspiration in life and why?
Sathvik - My biggest inspiration in life would be my Math teacher who motivated me in Math when I was in class 9 and got me to this stage.
Careers360: You know you are an inspiration to thousands of students across the country. Do you have any message for future aspirants on tackling the JEE Main exam?
Sathvik - Generally, students lose marks in the final exam as they panic. Avoid being stressed out and give your best.

The WBJEE 2026 exam will not be held in Maharashtra, as per the details mentioned in the brochure. The exam centres will be available in West Bengal, Assam and Tripura. If you are from any other state, then your options will be limited to WB.
