DTU M.Tech Merit List 2026 : Delhi Technical University (DTU) will upload the DTU M.Tech 2026 merit list on the official website, dtu.ac.in. The authority will publish the DTU MTech merit list 2026 for test-based and that of GATE-based right before the counselling. Note that the DTU merit list will be based on GATE scores, and the university-level test is released separately. The authority will conduct the DTU MTech admission 2026 process online, except for the spot admission.

The exam authorities will release the percentage of seats reserved for every category for DTU M. Tech admission 2026. This is followed while admissions based on the DTU M.Tech 2026 merit list. The trend of reservation for categories is shown in the table as under.

The DTU MTech merit list 2026 will be made on the basis of the percentile score earned by the candidate in the admission test.
Counselling will be held for candidates whose names are there in the merit list. They must participate in the counselling and seat allotment process for successful admission.
The counselling process will be conducted based on the merit list.
Every concerned branch/department will release a separate DTU MTech merit list 2026 as per the specific specialisation.
The merit list is prepared based on the candidate's score obtained in the DTU admission test. The formula used for making the DTU M. Tech merit list is stated below.
Percentile = (No. of candidates appeared in the admission test – candidate rank) / (Total No. of candidates appeared in the admission test in which you have appeared).
The above-given formula is used to derive the percentile based on which the DTU M.Tech 2026 merit list is determined.
If two or more candidates have scored the same marks, then a separate list of candidates known as the ‘Inter-se merit list’ is prepared.
Candidates with the GATE score of 2024 will be considered over those of 2023 or 2022.
Candidates with a GATE score of 2023 shall be considered over those with a score of 2022.
In the case of candidates with the same GATE year, one with a higher GATE score will be considered.
If candidates with the same GATE year and score, preference will be given on the basis of All India Rank (AIR) in GATE.
In the case of candidates with the same GATE year, marks, and AIR, then the elder candidates in age will be preferred.
If still, the tie is still found, then the grade/marks secured by candidates in the qualifying exam shall be considered.

Eligible candidates whose names are on the DTU M.Tech merit list must participate in the counselling process on the specified date & venue. Candidates have to report for DTU M. Tech counselling 2026 accordingly for the purpose of document verification, which is followed by seat allotment and payment of admission fee.

This is likely a temporary portal or validation issue, not something you did wrong. When candidates try to change category from GEN to OBC-NCL during the GATE correction window, the system checks required fields and sometimes a supporting certificate or fee is needed. If any required data or document is missing, or the server is busy, the portal can show Something went wrong, please try again. Explain to them that first they should log into the GATE portal, open the Correction tab and confirm which fields are editable and whether a payment or document upload is required for category change. Tell them to clear browser cache or try a different browser/device and retry. If the error persists, advise contacting GATE support or the zonal office with a screenshot and timing of the error so officials can check server logs.

The GATE 2026 Agricultural Engineering (AG) paper will have a total of 100 marks. Out of this, 15 marks are for General Aptitude and 85 marks are for core Agricultural Engineering subjects.
The marks are generally distributed among major topics like Engineering Mathematics (12–13 marks), Farm Machinery (10–11), Farm Power (14–15), Soil & Water Conservation (12–13), Irrigation & Drainage (10–12), Agricultural Process Engineering (10–12), and Dairy & Food Engineering (9–10 marks).
The official qualifying marks for GATE 2026 are not yet released. However, based on previous years, the cutoff for the Agricultural Engineering paper is expected to be around 25 marks for General, 22.5 for OBC/EWS, and 16.6 for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
