Maharashtra Polytechnic Admission 2019 - Commissioner of State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra State will conduct Maharashtra Polytechnic Admission 2019 for admission to diploma technical courses offered by participating institutes. Admission will be based on performance of candidates in SSC; no separate entrance exam will be conducted. The online registration-cum-application form of Maharashtra Polytechnic Admission 2019 will open tentatively in 3rd week of June, 2019. Facilitation centres (FCs) will also be set up to help candidates fill the online application form – the facility is available for free. Based on applications received authorities will first release a provisional Maharashtra Polytechnic 2019 merit list – candidates will can also file grievances. Final merit list Maharashtra Polytechnic will be released after considering all such grievances. Merit list candidates will next have to participate in option entry, which along with the merit rank of the candidates, will be the basis of seat allotment.

 

Counselling of Maharashtra Polytechnic 2019 will be a centralized process and will be conducted online. The allotment of seats will be done through three CAP (Centralized Admission Process) rounds. Maharashtra Polytechnic Eligibility Criteria 2019

Candidates seeking admission to diploma technical courses must go through the eligibility criteria of Maharashtra Polytechnic 2019 prescribed by the competent authority carefully. It is because, any candidate who doesn’t meet Maharashtra Polytechnic 2019 eligibility criteria could be disqualified at any stage of the admission process. Please note that the eligibility criteria of Maharashtra Polytechnic Eligibility 2019 vary depending on the candidature type as has been explained below.

The candidate must have passed Class VIII, IX and X (SSC) from a recognized institute in Maharashtra

The candidate must have passed the qualifying exam from within respective area of district  jurisdiction

This category includes candidates who don’t fall in Type A, but whose parent (s) holds Maharashtra state domicile

The domicile issuing authority must fall within respective area of district jurisdiction

C

Candidate who doesn’t fall in any of preceding two categories, but whose parent (s) is employed with GOI or GOI undertaking and who is still working before last date of application submission.

The place of posting of the parent falls within respective area of district jurisdiction

D

Candidate who doesn’t fall in Type A, B, or even C, but whose parent (s) is an employee or retired employee of the Government of Maharashtra or Government of Maharashtra Undertaking.

The place of posting of parent (if employed) or settlement (if retired), must fall within the respective area of district jurisdiction

E

The candidate must have passed Class VIII, IX and X (SSC) from an institute located a disputed

Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area or from

Maharashtra, residing in the disputed Maharashtra

Karnataka Border Area and also whose Mother

tongue is Marathi.

The candidate will be eligible for Outside Home District seats or State Level seats

All India Candidature – Indian nationals can apply for seats earmarked for this category.

Minority Candidature – Candidates holding Maharashtra domicile but belonging to a particular

linguistic or religious minority community from within the State and as notified by the Government can apply under this Category.

 

Maharashtra Polytechnic Counselling 2019

The counselling process of Maharashtra Polytechnic 2019 will start with the release of the online application-cum-registration form. Eligible candidates will have to fill the application form online, post which provisional merit list will be published to short-list candidates for Maharashtra Polytechnic counselling 2019. The final merit list will be published after admission authorities take into account any grievances the candidates have against the provisional merit list. Candidates listed in the final list would next have to participate in online choice filling and locking, based on which Maharashtra Polytechnic 2019seat allotments will be made.

Maharashtra Polytechnic application form 2019

The candidate has to fill the application form online for participating in the Centralised Admission Process. Before filling the application form of Maharashtra Polytechnic 2019, candidates should ensure their eligibility. Also, only genuine information should be used for filling the Maharashtra Polytechnic 2019 application form; after duly filling it, the candidate needs to submit it before the last date.

 

How to fill Maharashtra Polytechnic 2019 application form

  • Registration – The candidate will have to using valid email id and password.

  • Uploading of scanned images – The uploaded documents must be in the prescribed format and size.

  • Payment of application fee -  In this step the candidate has to pay the application fee of Maharashtra Polytechnic Admission 2019.

  • Submission of application form – Before submitting the application form, check that it is complete in all respects.

Document verification at facilitation centres (FC)

The candidate will have to visit an FC in person for the document verification process – bring along a signed printout of the filled online application form and also originals and photocopies of all relevant documents. After collecting the print version of the application form and verifying the documents, the facilitation centre in-charge will confirm the candidate’s application form through an online system and also issue a receipt-cum-acknowledgement of application form. The facilitation in-charge will also return the original documents to the candidate.

 

Documents candidates need to carry for Document Verification Process

  • Indian Nationality Certificate

  • Mark sheets of Class VIII,IX Mark sheet/ Proforma Z

  • Mark sheet of S.S.C. (Std.X) mark sheet

  • School leaving certificate after passing SSC (Standard X)

  • HSC/ HSC Vocational mark sheet and Leaving Certificate, if applicable.

  • Certificate of passing Intermediate Grade Drawing examination, if applicable.

Apart from the documents mentioned above, candidates are also required to submit relevant documents indicating their candidature type.

 

Maharashtra Polytechnic Merit List 2019

Authorities will publish the merit list of Maharashtra Polytechnic 2019 tentatively in the 3rd week of July, 2019. The Maharashtra Polytechnic merit list 2019 will be prepared based on the percentage of aggregate marks obtained by candidates in the qualifying exam (SSC exam) and will be category-specific. It must, however, be noted that being merely listed in the Maharashtra M.Tech 2019 is no guarantee of admission.

In such cases where two or more candidates have the same marks in the qualifying exam, a tie-breaking process will be adopted as shown below:

 

Tie will be broken in the following order of preference

  1. The candidate with higher percentage of marks in Mathematics

  2. The candidate with higher percentage of marks in Science

  3. The candidate with higher percentage of marks in English

  4. Candidate has passed HSC science

  5. Candidate has passed HSC with Minimum Competency Vocational Course

  6. Candidate has passed ITI Trade (2-year course)

  7. Candidate has passed intermediate grade drawing exam

Additionally, candidates who have successfully submitted applications for admission through CAP will each be issued a merit number, which will be derived from the merit list.

 

Option Entry

In this step the candidate has to enter choice of courses and colleges from the available options. It is recommended that candidates fill as many choices as possible – maximum 300 allowed – to optimize one’s chances of getting admission/ or a preferred seat. Choices should be entered in the decreasing order of priority. Next the candidate has to confirm filled choices, after which no changes will be allowed.

Display of category-wise seats (Seat Matrix) – The candidate by referring to the category-wise seat matrix will be better able to access their chances of getting admission and also participate in choice filling more effectively.

Total number of choice filling rounds - There will total three seat allotment rounds – and for each round, the candidate will be allowed to fill in fresh choices.

Maharashtra Polytechnic Seat Allotment 2019

Maharashtra Polytechnic 2019 seat allotment will be conducted in online mode (computerised allotment). Also, allotments will be done category-wise as per the inter-se-merit of the candidate. There will be total three rounds of Maharashtra Polytechnic seat allotment 2019 – and for each round entry of fresh choice filling will be allowed. Option entry has to be done through applicant log-in accounts. Authorities will also release the provisional vacant seats left after each round, so that candidate gets a clear picture about their options. An additional round of counselling may also be conducted, but only if vacant seats are left.

The Maharashtra Polytechnic 2019 seat allotments will be done online and on a provisional basis, with candidates who have been allotted seats having to report at Admission Reporting Centre (ARC) for document verification and to accept the seat. After accepting the seat,the candidate has to finally report to the allotted institute for admission. 

 

Seat Acceptance Fee

Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable seat acceptance of Rs. 1000.

 

Freezing, up-gradation and acceptance of seats

Freezing – If a candidate is offered a first preference seat, the allotment will be automatically freezed and the candidate won’t be able to participate in subsequent rounds. A candidate can also freeze their seats themselves through candidate accounts, if they are happy with the offered seat. Once a seat is freezed, the candidate has to report at an ARC for confirmation of seat acceptance; failure to do so will lead to forfeiture of allotted seats.

Seat Upgradation – Candidates who have been allotted a seat other than the first choice are eligible for participation in subsequent round whether they report to ARC or not.

  • Gender

  • Caste – however, please note the candidate is not be allowed to change his/her category from General to Reserved.

  • Removal of minority status

  • Removal of Disability status

  • Removal of Defence status

  • Candidature type

  • Home District

  • Removal of Fee Waiver Seats (TFWS) status

  • Removal of Technical or Vocational Status

  • Change in qualification

No other changes other the ones mentioned above will be allowed.

 

Maharashtra Polytechnic Cutoff 2019

The admission conducting authority will publish the cutoff of Maharashtra Polytechnic 2019 separately for all three seat allotment rounds. The Maharashtra Polytechnic cutoff for a round will indicate the last rank for which a candidate is given admission for that round. Candidates can check the round-wise cutoff to gather information on branch and category-wise minimum marks required for admission at participating institutes. If a candidate misses out from the cutoff list for the first two seat allotment rounds, they still have a chance of admission. But round III being the last seat allotment round, if a candidate misses out that there is very little chance of admission.
