Admission to the Diploma in Engineering colleges in Maharashtra is based on the marks secured in the qualifying exam. The eligibility criteria for Maharashtra Polytechnic admission comprises nationality, education qualification, domicile and more. The authority will release the Maharashtra Polytechnic 2025 application form on the official website. The eligible candidates can fill out the application form of Maharashtra Polytechnic online. The application process consists of registration, form filling, uploading documents and payment of application fees. Given below are the steps to be followed by aspiring candidates:
Online Registration - Candidates have to visit the official website at dtemaharashtra.gov.in and click on the link to apply for Maharashtra Polytechnic 2025 admission. They will first have to register by using their valid email ID and password.
Application Form - Candidates will have to provide personal, and academic, communication. Etc details in the online application.
Uploading Documents - After providing the necessary information, candidates have to upload the required documents in the format prescribed by the authorities.
Application Fee - After uploading all the required documents, candidates have to pay the application fee in online mode.

Final Submission - Candidates must recheck the details mentioned in the application form before the final submission. No changes will be entertained after the final submission.
The authority will release the Maharashtra Polytechnic 2025 merit list on the official website. The merit list will consist of candidates' names in merit order. The Maharashtra Polytechnic diploma merit list will be based on marks obtained in the qualifying exam. Candidates can check the merit list and in case of any error contact the authority. Moreover, while preparing the merit list, if two or more candidates have the same marks the following criteria shall be followed:
Candidates with a higher percentage of marks in the subject Mathematics at SSC will be preferred first
If the tie persists, then the candidate with a higher percentage of marks in the subject Science at SSC shall be considered
After that, a candidate having a higher percentage of marks in the subject English at SSC shall be preferred
If the tie remains, passing HSC in the Science stream shall be considered
If the tie remains, passing HSC with Minimum Competency Vocational Course will be taken into account
Thereafter, the candidate who passes ITI Trade of 2 Years duration will be preferred
At last, passing the Intermediate grade drawing exam will be the last option.
The authority will conduct the Maharashtra Polytechnic 2025 counselling online. The shortlisted candidates have to participate in the counselling abiding by the choice-filling and locking process. Seat allocation will be allotted based on choice filling, qualifying marks and availability of seats. Candidates will also have to undergo the process of document verification during the counselling process.

In case a seat is allotted, candidates will have the following options for further process:
Freezing - In case the first seat preference is allotted to candidates, then it will automatically be frozen and candidates will not be allowed to participate in the subsequent rounds of Maharashtra Polytechnic counselling. In case of otherwise, candidates will get a chance to freeze their seat if they are satisfied with the allotted seat. To freeze a seat, candidates will have to report to ARC in confirmation of the seat acceptance.
Seat Upgradation - Candidates not offered a seat according to their first preference will get a chance to participate in the subsequent counselling rounds for a chance to get a preferred seat.
Maharashtra Diploma admission date 2025 will be announced online.
DTE Maharashtra will release the Maharashtra Polytechnic merit list on the official website, poly24.dtemaharashtra.gov.in.
