Candidate who does not fall in any category (A & B) but has any one or both parent(s) who is an employee of the Government of India or Government of India Undertaking and is still working till the last date of submission of application.

D

Candidates who don’t belong to any of the above-said categories (A, B, & C) but have a parent(s) who is an employee or retired employee of the Government of Maharashtra or Government of Maharashtra Undertaking.

Candidate should have passed class 8th, 9th, and 10th (SSC) from an institute that is located in the disputed Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area or from Maharashtra and residing in disputed Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area. Also, the mother tongue of a candidate should be Marathi.

Maharashtra Polytechnic Counselling 2020

The counselling process of Maharashtra Polytechnic 2020 admission process will commence tentatively from the last week of May and the candidates will be allowed to submit application cum registration form tentatively till the first week of July. Maharashtra Polytechnic Merit List 2020

The final merit list will be released tentatively in the second week of July after considering all the grievances that the candidates might have with the provisional merit list. Admissions will be prepared on the basis of the aggregate marks secured by the candidates in the SSC or qualifying examination and was category-specific. Tie-breaking Procedure of Maharashtra Polytechnic Admission 2020

If two or more candidates will secure the same marks in the qualifying exam then the higher rank will be allotted in the following order.

  • Candidate who secured a higher percentage of marks in Mathematics.

  • Candidate who secured a higher percentage of marks in Science.

  • Candidate who secured a higher percentage of marks in English.

  • Candidate who passed HSC science.

  • Candidate who passed HSC with Minimum Competency Vocational Course

  • Candidate who passed ITI Trade (2-year course)

  • Candidate who passed an intermediate grade drawing exam

Candidates who will successfully submit applications for admission through CAP will issue a merit number which will be derived from the merit list.

Maharashtra Polytechnic Option Entry 2020

While filling the Maharashtra polytechnic application form 2020, candidates will have to enter the choice of courses and colleges from the options that will be available. Candidates are recommended to select as many choices as possible (maximum 300). This is because it will increase the chances of getting admission. Candidates will have to select the choices in the decreasing order of priority. Once the candidate will confirm the choice filling then the changes will not be allowed, but candidates will be able to confirm their choices during each round of counselling.

Display of category-wise seats (Seat Matrix) - By referring to the category-wise seat matrix, candidate will be better able to access their chances of getting admission and will also be able to participate in choice filling more effectively.

Total number of choice filling rounds - There will be a total of three rounds of seat allotment and during each round, candidates will get a chance to confirm their choice or fill in fresh choice.

Maharashtra Polytechnic Seat Allotment 2020

The seat allotment of Maharashtra polytechnic admission 2020 will be announced through online mode. It will be a computerised allotment and will be done category-wise as per the inter-se-merit of the candidate. In total, seat allotment process will have three rounds and during each round, candidates will be given a chance to confirm their choices or make a fresh choice. Candidates will be able to do option entry by logging into the accounts. The authorities will also release the provisional seats left vacant after each round such that the candidates will be able to make clear choices. In case some seats are left vacant, authorities might conduct an additional counselling round.

Maharashtra polytechnic 2020 seat allotment will be done on the provisional basis and once the allotment of seat is done then the candidates will have to visit the Admission Reporting Centre (ARC) for the process of document verification and to accept a seat. After accepting a seat, candidates will have to visit the allotted institute for completing the admission process.

Seat Acceptance fee - Candidates will have to make a payment of Rs. 1000 as a seat acceptance fee and it will be a non-refundable payment.

Freezing, Up-Gradation and Acceptance of Seats

  • Freezing - If the authorities offer the candidates their first seat preference then the seat alloted will automatically be frozen and candidates will not be allowed to participate in the subsequent rounds of Maharashtra Polytechnic seat allotment 2020. Candidates will also get a chance to freeze their seat if they are happy with the allotted seat. To freeze a seat, candidates will have to report to ARC as a confirmation of seat acceptance. Please note that a failure to confirm seat acceptance will result in forfeiture of allotted seat.

  • Seat Upgradation - Candidates who will not be offered a seat according to their first preference will get a chance to participate in the subsequent rounds for a chance to get a preferred seat.

Maharashtra Polytechnic Cutoff 2020

The admission authorities will release the cut off of Maharashtra polytechnic admission 2020 for all the three rounds that will be conducted for seat allotment. The authorities will release the rank that will act as the last rank for which the authorities will offer admission to the candidates.
