JEE Advanced Dress Code 2018: For the first time in the short yet dynamic history of JEE Advanced, the examination is being conducted in online mode. Along with many changes in the exam pattern and more, the applicants have also been bombarded with a list of do’s and dont’s by the authorities of JEE Advanced. A list of items have been shortlisted which is prohibited in the examination venue. A dress code for JEE Advanced 2018 has also been released which consists of what the candidates can or cannot wear for the examination. JEE Advanced 2018 dress code offers a detailed information to the candidates so that they face no problems while reporting at the centre on the examination day.

JEE Advanced 2018 will be held on May 20. Both Paper I and Paper II will be conducted on the same day by IIT Kanpur. Over 164822 eligible candidates have registered for JEE Advanced 2018 examination.

The dress code of JEE Advanced 2018 lays down the details of what the candidates should wear and avoid on the examination day. JEE Advanced 2018 Dress Code for Male Candidates

 

Male candidates of JEE Advanced 2018 are advised to go through and keep the following dress code in mind while appearing for the examination:

  • Accessories such as rings, bracelet and charm/tabeez will not be allowed by the authorities.

  • The candidates are advised not to wear clothes with full sleeves or big buttons.

  • Open footwear such as chappals and sandals should be worn by the candidates.

  • Simple analog watches can be worn.

JEE Advanced Dress Code 2018 for Female Candidates

 

Similarly, female candidates are also restricted from wearing some particular items while reporting at the examination venue. The dress code of JEE Advanced 2018 for female candidates are:

  • The candidates should refrain from wearing metal based accessories such as charm/tabeez, ring, bracelet, earrings, nose pin, chain/necklace, pendants, badge, brooch and hair pin.

  • The clothes worn by the female candidates should not be full sleeves and big buttons should be avoided at any cost.

  • Chappals and sandals should be worn by the female candidates.

  • The candidates should avoid fancy watches and wear simple analog watches.

General Items to be avoided for JEE Advanced 2018

 

The following items will not be allowed inside the JEE Advanced 2018 exam centres. Therefore, the candidates are advised not to bring any of the listed items:

  • Smart/digital/programmable watches

  • Abacus/Log Books/Geometry Box

  • Mobile phones

  • Bluetooth

  • Earphones

  • Microphones

  • Pager

  • Health band or any other culator

  • Pen drives

  • Electronic Pen

  • Wallet

  • Handbag

  • Goggles

  • Eatables

Items allowed to be taken inside JEE Advanced 2018 Exam Centre

 

Candidates will be allowed to take only the following items into the examination centre of JEE Advanced 2018:

  • Admit Card

  • Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar Card, School/College ID, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport and PAN Card)

  • Pens

  • Pencils

  • Simple Analog Watch

It is important for the candidates to take the dress code of JEE Advanced 2018 released by IIT Kanpur seriously. This will ensure that the candidates will not face any problem during the frisking process and be able to attempt the examination without any problems. Hey!There
It is really tough to make prediction about minimum score in any specific category that can fetch you seat in top IITs as in last two years cuttoff has changed drastically.This year cuttoff was changed dramatically as paper was tough.JEE ADVANCE question setter keep changing level of questions each year,so it's really tough to make any prediction before examination.Despite all this,you can target 130+ for having seat in IITs with SC category that's what previous year trends says..

jee advance is an entrance test to get an admission in iits which are prestigious colleges in india where every student wants to join and this academic year the applications for jee advance opens on 2nd of may 2020 to attempt this exam you have to qualify in jee mains paper 1

jee advance exam is conducted go get an admission in iits which are the most prestigious engineering colleges in india the applications for jee advance is realesed on 1st week of may 2020 and to attempt this exam first you need to qualify jee mains paper 1

My son is taking Cambridge A levels with subjects - Math, Physics, Chemistry, Economics and English AS levels. Is he elligible to take JEE Mains and Advance.

Below I will give the list of qualifying examination for JEE mains .
List of Qualifying Examinations (QE)
i. The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized central/ State Board, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi; etc. ii. Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University
. iii. Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defense Academy
iv. Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects.
v. Any Public School/ Board/ University examination in India or in any foreign country recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU)
. vi. Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination.
vii. A Diploma recognized by AICTE or a State board of technical education of at least 3 year duration. [Only for Admission to IITs]
viii. General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level. [Only for Admission to IITs]
ix. High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva. [Only for Admission to IITs]
In viii it is mentioned that your son is only eligible for admissions in IITs.
And he can appear for JEE mains and advanced.

If you want to do B.tech then unfortunately you cant because jee advance is the inky way.But if you want to do other courses in IITs like B.Sc, Designing, Management etc then exams like IIT JAM, CAT, UCEED (Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design), CEED(Common Entrance Exam for Design) , HSEE (Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Exam) can help you to get in IITs.
