The Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) is conducted to get admission to the BArch courses offered by the IIT BHU, IIT Kharagpur, and IIT Roorkee. Only JEE Advanced qualifiers are eligible to appear for AAT exam. The test will be held in pen and paper mode only. The result of the exam is in the form of “PASS or FAIL” status. The ranks assigned in JEE Advanced 2026 exam will be considered for IIT admission to architecture course.

The authority will release the eligibility criteria for appearing in the JEE Advanced Architecture Aptitude Test 2026. Those who do not comply with the eligibility requirements but qualify for the entrance exam will lose their candidature.

Candidates will have to enter JEE Advanced 2026 registration number, date of birth, mobile number and email address.
A question will pop up on the screen that reads “Are you interested in AAT 2026?”. Candidates have to click on ‘Yes’ to proceed further.
Candidates will have to select the preferred JEE Advanced exam centres from the list that appears on the screen.
Other required details have to be entered accordingly.
Candidates may verify the information entered and then submit the AAT application form 2026.

IIT Roorkee will release the JEE Advanced 2026 AAT syllabus through the information brochure. It will allow the candidates to know the topics to be studied for the entrance examination. Before starting the preparation, the candidates are advised to check the JEE Advanced AAT syllabus.

The authority will not release a separate admit card for JEE Advanced AAT 2026 candidates. The JEE Advanced admit card is applicable for the AAT exam as well. While reporting at the JEE Advanced exam centre, candidates have to present their JEE Advanced 2026 admit card. If the admit card is not produced, then the candidates will not be allowed to attempt the entrance examination. Details about the allotted exam centre and timings have been notified to the candidates.
IIT Roorkee will declare the JEE Advanced AAT 2026 result within a week of the exam. Candidates will be able to access the JEE Advanced AAT results by logging in using the required credentials. The JEE Advanced AAT 2026 result will mention the qualifying status of the candidate only. It will not be used of ranking.
The marks within which Architecture admissions will be served for qualified candidates serve the JEE Advanced AAT 2026 cut-off. While preparing the AAT 2026 cutoff, the authorities will consider various factors related to the examination, such as difficulty level, previous year cutoff trends, number of applicants etc., which serve as the basis for how high the cutoff marks shall range.
Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is responsible for counselling and seat allotment for JEE Advanced AAT 2026. Qualified candidates will have to register for JoSAA 2026 online. Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of AAT 2026 rank, preferences filled, category and availability of seats. Eligible candidates will be allotted seats for B.Arch admission at IIT Roorkee, IIT BHU and IIT Kharagpur. Candidates will have to undergo verification of documents and report to the allotted institute for admission confirmation.
