Careers 360: Congratulations on the performance in the JEE Advanced 2025 exam. What was your reaction upon knowing the scores?
Dharmana Gnana Rutvik Sai: The result was as expected, but I feel I would be more satisfied if I had gotten below a 10th rank. This, too, is up to my satisfaction level. I was strong in chemistry, but it didn't reflect in the exam. Whereas I feel maths to be difficult, but managed perfectly.
Careers 360: In which session of JEE Main have you attempted, and what was your score and rank in the exam?
Dharmana Gnana Rutvik Sai: In session 1, I have attempted on 24 Jan afternoon and I have scored 285/300 And in session 2, I attempted on 7 April afternoon and I scored 275/300.
Careers 360: Why do you want to study engineering? When did you decide to choose engineering? Which branch would you be interested in? Any reason?
Dharmana Gnana Rutvik Sai: Engineers contribute to advancements that improve everyday life and the world around us. There, we use our knowledge and innovative skills to develop the world and solve complex problems. I have decided it I'm 7th class. And is am interested in CSE. Because it has a wide range of career options, high demand, and salary etc.
Careers 360: Tell us something about the preparation study and daily routine for JEE Advanced?
Dharmana Gnana Rutvik Sai: I am sharing my daily routine during ADVANCED Preparation
6:00 to 6:30 Meditation
6:30 to 8:30 Study hours
8:30 to 9:00 breakfast
9:00 to 12:00 Preparation for a subject that we find difficult (MATHS for me). Practice question papers with a time limit.
12:00 to 1:00 Lunch break
1:00 to 4:00 physics assignments without a time limit
4:00 to 4:30 break
4:30 to 7:30 Maths assignments with a time limit
7:30 to 8:00 dinner
8:00 to 10:30 chemistry ( reading concepts and solving problems )
Careers 360: Did you take coaching, and if yes, from where? What are the benefits of coaching, as per you?
Dharmana Gnana Rutvik Sai: Yes, from Sri Chaitanya educational institutions, Vijayawada. And it is very much useful because of their rigorous programme, motivation from lecturers, Mock test papers, which can be from the staff.
Careers 360: Which subject did you find the easiest during preparation? What do you think is the toughest thing to manage during the exam?
Dharmana Gnana Rutvik Sai: During preparation, I found Chemistry to be easy because I am very good at memory-based things. Also, physics.
I have selected the OCSC Camp 2025 physics(HBCSE). I found maths to be difficult, and I have overcome it with practice and solving different models. And also, I would give more time for maths in the exam, nearly 80 minutes.
Careers 360: What do you think are the key factors behind your success?
Dharmana Gnana Rutvik Sai: Perseverance, IQ, hard-working nature, discipline, and responsibility.
Careers 360: How do you de-stress yourself during preparation? What are your hobbies, and how often could you pursue them?
Dharmana Gnana Rutvik Sai: Through Meditation. During my preparation, I would do meditation every day in the morning from 6:00 to 6:30, and take a nap in the afternoon, relaxing for some time by reading the newspaper in the evening, and also we would discuss during lunch breaks, like asking questions to each other. Mainly in chemistry because my chemistry sir suggested me do so.
Careers 360: Mock test and sample paper- how extensively did you practise with the help of these? Do you think practising from previous year papers helps, and how?
Dharmana Gnana Rutvik Sai: I have written many mock tests. Every Sunday, I would give paper 1 and paper 2 in online mode, and this helped a lot. During the last 2 months, I have extensively practiced maths to increase my speed. Also, practicing mock tests from other institutions would help, because we will be exposed to new terminology and different ways of asking a question. Practicing PYQ questions will help, but differently, it doesn't help to solve questions faster in the JEE Advanced that we are going to write, but it helps us to think in different ways and get exposed to various kinds of problems.
Careers 360: Do you have any tips and messages for future aspirants?
Dharmana Gnana Rutvik Sai: For JEE MAIN, speed and accuracy play a key role for the above-average students. Whereas for JEE ADVANCED, Conceptual understanding and analytical thinking should be there. ADVANCED will ask innovative questions based on the same definite concepts in a new way. Having a good command of English would be necessary. In advance, since several questions are less rather than speed accuracy is required a lot.
Practicing a larger number of questions is helpful for maths. Students should be confident and fearless. Silly mistakes in advanced work will cost a lot, so students should minimize silly mistakes as far as possible.
