The process of calculating JEE Main percentile is called JEE Main normalisation process. Candidates should follow these steps to calculate their expected JEE Main percentile 2026:
JEE Main percentile: 100 x Number of candidates who secured a raw score (or actual score) equal or less than the candidate/ Total number of candidates who appeared in the exam.

If a candidate scores 140 marks, then he/she can take admission in some NITs, IIITs with some branches like Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computing, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and others. Or either a candidate can do these things after scoring 140 marks or lower:
