Punjab B.Tech Counselling 2018 –The admission authorities have released the Punjab B.Tech cutoff ranks for Round II (JEE Main) and Round I (10+2) on June 21. The Round II of registration for Punjab B.Tech 2018 counselling on the basis of JEE Main scores was closed on June 18. Registration for 10+2 candidates closed on June 14. Candidates need to pay counselling fee before registration. It must be noted that for JEE Main candidates there will be two counselling rounds, and for each round there is a separate schedule for fee deposition, registration, etc. Candidates are urged to consult the counselling schedule below for full details. For candidates seeking admisison based on 10+2 scores, there is only be one round of counselling. Punjab B.Tech counselling 2018 will be held for candidates listed in the rank list prepared on the basis of JEE Main and qualifying exam result. Separate counselling rounds will be conducted for candidates applying to Punjab admission through JEE Main and qualifying exam. Once registered, candidates have to get their necessary documents verified and fill in their choice of colleges and B.Tech programmes offered by them in the order of their priority. Punjab B.Tech Counselling Procedure 2018
Candidates will have to follow the steps given below for Punjab B.Tech 2018 counselling procedure. This will help candidates in Punjab B.Tech admission 2018.

The above mentioned steps have been given below in a detailed manner. Candidates need to follow the steps in their respective order.
Step 1 - Counselling fees payment: Candidates will have to pay the prescribed counselling fee of Rs. 2000 by logging through the link provided below and fill in the information required. In case of cash payment, candidates will have to select any bank from the list given where they want to deposit the counselling fee. Candidates will have to take a print out of the e-deposit slip and deposit the cash in the respective bank. No manual cash deposit slip will be entertained in any of the banks. The counselling fee will be non-refundable.
Step 2 – Registration: After fee payment, candidates will have to register themselves for the online centralized counselling. To register, candidates will have to provide their details like JEE Main roll number, rank, name, date of birth, gender, category, contact number, address and email address etc. It is important for candidates to fill all the details carefully during registration because once filled, they will not be able to make any changes in their registration form.
Step 3 – Filling of choices: Once registered successfully, candidates will have to check their registration details again and change them, if they wish to. These changes will only be possible if they have not freezed their registration form. Furthermore, candidates will have to fill in their choice of colleges and courses in the order of their priority. They can fill maximum available choices of colleges and branches during choice filling. Candidates can also alter/ rearrange or delete their filled choices, if not satisfied. They can also take a print out of their filled in choices for future use. Candidates will be allotted seats on the basis of their merit, choice filling, category and availability of seats.
Step 4 – Result declaration: Candidates who will be allotted seats will be informed through SMS on the day of result declaration. To check the allotment of seats, candidates can also login to their account. The successful candidates will be required to take a print out of provisional allotment letter.
Step 5 – Reporting at the college allotted: Taking the provisional seat allotment letter along, candidates will have to report at the institute allotted for document verification purpose. Candidates will also have to pay the requisite college fee on the day of reporting and in case they fail to visit the college on the specified date and time, their seats will be cancelled.
Step 6 - Participation in second round of counselling: Candidates coming under 85% Punjab quota and 15% other States quota can participate in the second round of counselling, irrespective of whether they have been allotted a seat or not allotted seat or could not join the allotted institution or could notparticipate in the earlier round. Candidates who have not deposited Rs 2000 as counselling fee in the first round will have to deposit it in this round.
Salient features of Punjab B.Tech 2018 counselling
Candidates will have to ensure that they fulfil the prescribed eligibility criteria before participating in the counselling procedure.
It is important that candidates read all the instructions related to counselling before registration.
Candidates are advised not to submit original certificates at the college at the time of admission.
The Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS) will be applicable to IKGPTU & MRSPTU only. Fee waiver seats will not be available in PAU, Ludhiana.
In case of TFWS, total number of seats will be 5% over and above the sanctioned intake of the course.
Candidates admitted under TFWS or such a beneficiary will not be allowed to change institution or course under any circumstances.
The TFWS to a candidate will be applicable for the complete duration of the course.
Candidates availing seat under TFWS will not be entitled to avail financial assistance under any other Government Scheme what so ever. However, they will be eligible for any scholarship available on competition or merit basis.
