According to the news report, the total number of registration for JEE Main 2026 session 1 has reached a record 14.5 lakh, up from last year's record of 13.11 lakh. JEE Main Registration 2026: What Next

Next, NTA will issue the JEE Main City Intimation Slip 2026 for session 1 in the first week of January 2026. The city intimation slip link will be available on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. Applicants will have to provide the JEE Main 2026 application number and password to download the slip.

The authority has also announced the JEE Main session 2 details. The JEE Main registration 2026 session 2 is expected to begin in the last week of January 2026. Candidates can find the JEE Main application form for session 2 on the official website. The NTA JEE Main session 2 will be conducted from April 02 and 09, 2026. You are eligible if:

  • You passed Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics.

  • Mathematics was passed as a full subject from NIOS.

  • NIOS is a recognized board.

  • Having two marksheets is allowed.

You are not eligible if:

  • Mathematics was taken only as an improvement or additional without passing it as a full subject.

MHT-CET
You are eligible if:

  • You passed Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics.

  • Mathematics from NIOS is shown as a passed subject.

  • NIOS is recognized for Maharashtra admissions.

  • Mathematics was passed before the admission year.

You are not eligible if:

  • Mathematics is not shown as a passed subject.
