Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria for Punjab B.Tech admission mentioned below. It must be noted that a candidate will not be eligible for final seat allotment if he/she does not fulfill the minimum eligibility conditions of Punjab B.Tech 2026.

Compulsory Subjects in Qualifying Exam

Candidates applying through JEE Main must have qualified the exam in order to be eligible for the admission process.

Candidates must have studied Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects during their 10+2. Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Biotechnology/ Biology should have been studied as optional subjects.

Other Academic Qualification

Candidates who have completed a Diploma in any of the engineering streams or equivalent from a recognized state board of technical education will also be eligible to apply for admission.

Candidates who have qualified the two-year certificate programme from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal (SLIET) or any such state-recognized board will also be eligible to apply.

85% of seats are reserved for the resident candidates of Punjab.

The authority conducted the Punjab BTech counselling registration online. The application process of Punjab B.Tech 2026 includes steps like payment of the application fee, registration, filling of the application form, submission of the form, etc. The given steps can be referred to fill out the application form for Punjab B.Tech 2026.

Steps to Fill Punjab B.Tech 2026 Application Form

Candidates are provided here with the step by step guide to fill Punjab B.Tech application form 2026 to help them fill the form.

Step 1: Payment of Registration Fee - Candidates have to first pay the registration fee of Punjab B.Tech 2026. For this, candidates must enter basic details like stream, name, father’s name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID and click on the “Submit” button. After this, candidates will receive an OTP on their registered mobile number and email. Candidates must enter the OTP and click on the “Proceed” button which will redirect them to the payment page. Select any method of payment from the available options like credit/debit card/ internet banking or cash card. The application fee of Punjab B.Tech 2026 is Rs 2000 for all candidates.

Step 2: Registration- After payment of the fee, candidates will have to complete the registration by entering details like personal, communication, and educational details.

Step 3: Choice Locking- The choice locking of Punjab B.tech 2026 will commence for JEE Main qualified candidates and 10+2 qualified candidates. Candidates have to fill in and lock choices of their preferred colleges and courses within the specified time duration.

Step 4: Submission of Application Form- Once the choice filling is completed, candidates must finally submit their application form. Candidates must ensure to submit their applications before the last date.

Punjab B.Tech Rank List 2026

The exam conducting authorities prepared the rank list of Punjab B.Tech 2026 based on marks obtained by the candidates in JEE Main 2026 and 10+2 candidates. It should be noted that a separate rank list will be prepared for the Punjab candidates and the outside Punjab candidates. Based on these ranks, candidates will be allotted seats in the participating institutes.

Punjab B.Tech Cutoff 2026

The exam conducting authority will upload the cutoff of Punjab B.Tech admission 2026 on the official website. It must be noted that separate cutoffs will be released for JEE Main qualified and 10+2 candidates. Punjab B.Tech cut off will be prepared based on various factors like the number of candidates, availability of seats, previous year cutoff trends, etc. Candidates who obtain ranks higher than the Punjab B.Tech 2026 cutoff will have higher chances of getting admission to the participating institutes.

Punjab B.Tech Counselling & Seat Allotment 2026

The Punjab BTech counselling process will be conducted in the online mode. Process includes the choice filling, seat allotment, seat acceptance, fee payment and college reporting. The seat allotment result for counselling of JEE Main qualified candidates and 10+2 qualified candidates will be released on the official website.
