Engineering is a branch of science in which the applications of laws of physics are used to build infrastructure, electronic, information technology and machines. This is pursued as a degree in various specializations which include UG, PG, Diploma, PhD. The Undergraduate course is commonly referred to as BTech which stands for Bachelor of Technology and the Postgraduate course is called MTech which stands for Masters of Technology. There are several diploma and certificate courses available for engineering stream which can be Polytechnic and Dual degree courses.
Candidates can pursue engineering after clearing their 10+2 board examinations. They need to qualify as per the eligibility criteria set up by the desired college to be able to pursue engineering there. The foundation of every engineer is Physics and mathematics, thus the candidates aspiring for engineering need to choose PCM as their main subjects during 10+2.

Can a mechanical engineer apply for jobs in Computer sciences?
