What is the NTPC Scholarship?

The NTPC Scholarship Scheme is an initiative by NTPC Limited, India’s largest power utility, to promote education and skill development among economically and socially backward sections. Full-time B.Tech students enrolled in engineering colleges across India can apply for this scholarship. Mainly, candidates belonging to the SC/ST & PWD categories can apply for this scholarship.

• Students must secure at least 60% marks in their first-year B.Tech examinations (relaxation for reserved categories as per government rules).

Application Process for NTPC Scholarship

Candidates will be able to apply for the NTPC scholarship conducted online. The application process is detailed below.

1. Candidates must go to the NTPC career or scholarship portal, ntpc.co.in.

2. Create an account using valid details such as email ID and phone number. This creates the NTPC login details.

3. Once the basic registration is done, candidates will then have to enter their personal, academic, and category details accurately.

4. The scanned copies of the required certificates must be uploaded as per the sizes.

5. Once the NTPC application form is filled up, candidates must submit the application form. Candidates must also keep the NTPC application PDF for future reference.

Selection Process for NTPC Scholarship

How to Renew the NTPC Scholarship

Candidates have to renew the NTPC BTech Scholarship each year. For the scholarship to be renewed, candidates need to maintain their academic performance every year.

• Students must maintain a minimum of 60% marks each semester/year.

• The authority might also consider the attendance and discipline records of the candidates.

• The scholarship of the candidates will be cancelled in case they do not meet the requirements.
