AICTE GATE Scholarship 2026 - The All India Council for Technical Education will issue the AICTE GATE 2026 scholarship 2026 on the official website, india.org. The AICTE GATE scholarship portal will be open in September 2026. Candidates who meet the eligibility conditions will be able to apply for the AICTE scholarship for GATE 2026. The scholarship details including the eligibility, documents required and more. An amount of Rs 12,400 per month will be awarded as the AICTE GATE scholarship. Candidates with a valid score in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering can apply for the PG scholarship of AICTE GATE 2026.

It is important to note that duration of the AICTE GATE 2026 scholarship is 24 months or the duration of the course, whichever is shorter. To apply for the AICTE GATE 2026 scholarship, candidates must log in using their unique ID (provided by the institute) and upload the requisite documents. AICTE GATE scholarship 2026 will be awarded only to those students who are admitted to the course with a valid score in the GATE 2026 exam at the time of admission. Any student who qualifies the GATE exam after the date of admission shall not be eligible for the scholarship grant. Therefore, before applying for AICTE GATE 2026 scholarship, candidates must go through the eligibility criteria prescribed by the authorities. To avail the scholarship of AICTE GATE 2026, candidates will have to follow the given below procedure:

The AICTE GATE Scholarship 2026 will be granted to the student every month, subject to satisfactory academic performance and adherence to the University/Institute norms/rules and regulations
The scholarship will not be granted to passed-out students taking admission for the second time based on re-qualifying GATE 2026 exam who have already availed the scholarship from AICTE or any other Centrally funded Institution like – IITs, NITs, and IIITs etc.
The candidates will be required to undertake 8 to 10 hours (per week) of work related to teaching and research activities as assigned to him/her by the Institute which could include tutorials, laboratory classes, development and maintenance of laboratories, assistance in research and development activities undertaken by faculty members, maintenance and operation of Computers and other central facilities, assistance in library, etc.
The scholarship is tenable for 24 months or for the duration of the course, i.e. from the date of commencement of classes till the date of completion of the classes, whichever is lower and is not extendable under any circumstances.
The Scholarship may be discontinued at any time for any kind of misconduct by the student, like involvement in the act of ragging, misbehavior etc.
The rates of PG Scholarship is subject to change as per the notification issued by the Department of Higher Resource Development (MHRD), New Delhi from time to time with the approval of the Executive Committee of the Council.
The mode and procedure of payment of scholarship to the students shall be governed by the policy decision of the AICTE as may be notified from time to time on its web-portal or through advertisement in leading English/Hindi newspapers.

Proposal for grant of PG Scholarship are called for through advertisement in leading newspapers. Students/Institutes are advised to follow the procedure and guidelines contained therein. Copy of the advertisement can be viewed on the AICTE website at aicte-india.org.
No, the student who is in receipt of any kind of Scholarship/Stipend or salary etc. is not eligible for grant of PG Scholarship.
In case wrong data has been forwarded/entered on the portal, Student/Institute may lodge their grievance through e-mail supported with scanned copies of the documents with AICTE for resolving the issue.
Post Graduate Scholarship is entitled only to full time GATE/GPAT qualified students admitted to AICTE approved programs viz. Master of Engineering, Master of Technology, Master of Architecture and Master of Pharmacy courses in AICTE approved Institutions and AICTE approved University Departments.
Bank and Branch should not be changed during the period of course preferably for smooth disbursal of PG scholarship.
