IIIT Hyderabad Application Details

Interested applicants can apply to IIIT Hyderabad B.Tech Admission through any of the following channels.

1.  Through JEE Main:

All the candidates need to register first before logging in and filling up the Application Form for IIIT Hyderabad B. Tech.

2. Through Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) :

Aspiring applicants are required to first register by providing the following details along with a functional email id. Registered candidates receive a verification link on the registered email ID, where they need to click on the verification link to verify their registered email ID. After this process, candidates can then login and fill the application form. DASA candidates will have to go through two stages - provide academic details, and make payment (online) while they opt to fill up the application form.

3.  Through UGEE:

IIIT Hyderabad has launched an online portal for UGEE mode for IIIT Hyderabad B. Tech Admission.

4. Through Olympiad:

 Candidates, who are selected for training to represent India in International Olympiads, are offered admissions through this channel.  

5. Through Special Channel of Admission (SCA) Mode:

Admissions will be provided to those candidates who are identified as having extraordinary talent or background such as selection in a Central Government Scheme UDAAN or studying in a six-year integrated 12th standard + four year undergraduate programme and completing the second year of study in May of the admission year.

IIIT Hyderabad Eligibility Criteria

Aspiring candidates can apply for IIIT Hyderabad B. Tech Admission via these channels. Eligibility criteria for all the following channels have been mentioned below.

1. Through JEE Main:

Candidates are required to appear in JEE Main. They need to register separately and apply for IIIT-Hyderabad counselling.

2. Through DASA (Direct Admissions for Students of Abroad):

Applicants under this category are required to have studied 11th and 12th classes or equivalent outside India.

OR

They must be a foreign passport holder.

Candidates should have secured a minimum of 2000 SAT subject score (Physics+Chemistry+Mathematics II) [SAT-II].

3. Through UGEE:

Candidates must have qualified for UGEE in order to apply via this mode.

 4. Through Olympiad 

 Applicants in this category are required to have selected for training to represent India in International Olympiads.

5. Through Special Channel of Admission (SCA)

The candidates should possess extraordinary talent or should have some background to back them up such as selection in UDAAN or education in a six year integrated 12th standard + four year undergraduate programme and completing the second year of study in May of the admission year.

IIIT Hyderabad Counselling Details

Counselling of IIIT Hyderabad B.Tech Admissions is conducted for offering undergraduate admissions in the institute. Undergraduate admissions to this IIIT are done via four modes- JEE Main, DASA (Direct Admissions for Students of Abroad), NTSE, KVPY (NK) or Olympiad and SCA. IIIT Hyderabad B.Tech Counselling is held in three rounds. Round 4 is expected to be held in case there is vacancy. Candidates applying via any of the modes have to apply separately for IIIT Hyderabad B.Tech Counselling through IIITH portal only and fill their choices.
