    JEE Advanced 2024 Paper 2 Analysis by FIITJEE

    • Chemistry was Tricky as per students. Equal weightages given to Organic, Inorganic & Physical Chemistry. Inorganic Chemistry had a few questions about p-block, Chemical bonding, and Coordination compounds which were directly from NCERT. In Physical Chemistry questions covered Electrochemistry, Ionic & Chemical Equilibrium, Electrochemistry & Surface Chemistry. In Organic Chemistry, questions mostly asked from Aldehyde & Ketones, Polymers, Biomolecules, and Mixed concepts questions were asked. Qualitative Analysis was asked in Comprehension based type questions. This section was reported as Moderate as per students.
    • Physics. Questions were asked from Chapters of Waves & Sound, Ray &Wave Optics, Fluids, EM Waves, Thermodynamics, Modern Physics had more weightage, Kinematics, Gravitation & Electrostatics. Overall, Physics was Moderately Tough as per students. Students felt this section was not balanced. Some questions had tricky & Lengthy calculations.
    • Mathematics was the Toughest as per students. There were questions from Functions, Limits, Application of Derivatives, Definite Integrals, Area under Curve, Inverse Trigonometric functions, Vectors, 3D Geometry, Circle, Parabola, Quadratic Equations, Permutation & Combination and Probability. Students felt this section was the Toughest.
    • No mistakes reported till now as the complete paper is yet to be analysed.
    • The total no. of questions in Paper 1 was 51.
    • The total Marks of Paper 2 were 180 which is the same as last year.
    • As the Test was Computer-based students had the option to Clear Response to change any option, they could mark it for Review, Save and next to proceed further.
    • Scribble Pads were given to students during the exam for rough work.
    • Students found the overall level of paper Moderately Tough. Tougher than Paper 1.
    • Some students reported that their physics and chemistry were moderate, but their maths were relatively tough.

    JEE Advanced 2024 Paper 1 Analysis by FIITJEE

    Students found the overall level of paper Moderate to Difficult level but not easy. As per the students Maths was Easy to Moderate, Chemistry was Moderate, but Physics was relatively difficult.

    • Chemistry was not balanced as more weightage was given to Organic Chemistry. Inorganic Chemistry had a few questions which were directly from NCERT. In Physical Chemistry, questions covered chapters on Chemical Kinetics, Chemical Equilibrium, Atomic Structure& Thermodynamics. In Organic Chemistry, questions mostly asked about Amines, Polymers, Biomolecules, Oxygen-containing Compounds, and some named reactions were also asked. Mixed-concept questions were asked. This section was reported as Moderate as per students.
    • Physics. There were questions from Functions, Matrices, Ellipse, Statistics & Probability. Some good questions were asked in chapters of Probability, Complex Numbers, 3-D Geometry, Parabolas. Students felt this section was the Toughest.

    JEE Advanced 2022 Analysis Paper 2 by FIITJEE

    Chemistry (Easy). Balanced Section. In Physical Chemistry, there were questions from Electrochemistry, Mole Concept, Surface Chemistry, Thermodynamics & Chemical Kinetics. Organic Chemistry was well distributed with more mixed concept-based questions. No direct questions in Inorganic Chemistry, there were questions from p-block, especially reaction-based.

    Physics (Moderate & Lengthy) These were more concept-based and covered all chapters. Students reported this section to be Moderate. Questions were asked about Optics, Kinematics, Work Power & Energy, Rotational Motion, Thermodynamics mixed with Surface Tension, Current Electricity, Electrostatics, and Magnetism. Mixed concepts questions took more time, so some students found this section lengthy.

    Mathematics (Moderately & Lengthy) There were more questions from Calculus & Coordinate Geometry. Questions were mixed concept questions clubbing two chapters asked from Functions & Progressions, Application of Derivatives clubbed with Differential Equation, Circle clubbed with Trigonometry, Vectors clubbed with Matrices, and some direct questions from Hyperbola, Ellipse, Permutation & Combination, Probability, Definite Integration with Inverse of function. Questions had lengthy calculations.

    JEE Advanced 2022 Analysis Paper 1 by FIITJEE

    Chemistry was a balanced section with questions covering chapters of 11th & 12th classes equally. In Inorganic Chemistry, questions were directly from NCERT. In Physical Chemistry, questions covered chapters on Electrochemistry, Chemical Equilibrium, and Atomic Structure. Thermodynamics (Kinetic Theory Gases). In Organic Chemistry, questions mostly asked from Amines, Polymers, Biomolecules, Oxygen-containing Compounds, and some named reactions were also asked.

    Physics. Had more than one question from chapters like Rotational Motion- 3 questions, Thermodynamics-2 questions, Modern Physics-2 questions, Capacitors-2 questions, LC Circuits, Kinematics, Gravitation, Optics, Current Electricity. Overall, this section was moderate compared to the other two subjects as per students.

    Mathematics was tricky & difficult as per the students. There were 2 questions from 3D Geometry. Some tricky questions from Functions, Matrices, Ellipse, Vectors, Probability, Harmonic Progressions, Trigonometric Equations. Some good questions were asked from chapters of Probability, Complex Numbers,3-D Geometry, and Conic Sections. Students felt this section was the Toughest.

    JEE Advanced 2019 Analysis by FIITJEE

    According to the FIITJEE experts, the Mathematics section was tough and lengthy. Physics section was also tough and lengthy, however it was more calculation based. Chemistry section was easier as expected. The analysis applies for both Paper 1 and Paper 2.

    JEE Advanced 2018 Analysis by FIITJEE - Paper 1 & II

    Ramesh Batlish from FIITJEE has released the quick analysis of JEE Advanced 2018 for Paper 1 and II after it's conclusion. The maximum marks for the exam were 180; 60 for each paper. There were 3 sections - Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with 54 questions in total. Candidates can refer to the given table to know the section-wise analysis of JEE Advanced 2018 for both Paper I & II:

    Marking scheme in this section is

    (+4) in case all options are correct,

    (+1 )for each correct response,

    0 marks for no response and (-2) for all other cases. Maximum marks for this section was 24.

    This section had 8 questions with the correct response being a Numerical value.

    For each question, the correct numerical value was to be rounded off to second decimal place. (For eg: 6.25, 7.00,-127.30).

    The marking scheme was (+3) for the correct response and 0 marks in all other cases.

    Maximum marks for this section was 24.

    This section had 2 Comprehensions with two questions in each comprehension.

    Each comprehension had two questions with 4 options in which only one option was correct.

    Marking scheme in this section is

    (+3) if the correct option is marked,

    (0) marks if none of the options is marked (-1) in all other cases.

    Maximum marks for this section was 12.

    II

    Sec-1 had (06) six questions with four options in which one or more than one options were correct.

    Marking scheme in this section is

    +4 in case all options are correct,

    +1 for each correct response,

    0 marks for no response and -2 for all other cases. Maximum marks for this section was 24.

    Sec-2 had (08) Eight questions with correct response being a Numerical value.

    For each question, the correct numerical value was to be rounded off to second decimal place.( E.g: 6.25,7.00,-127.30).

    Sec-3 had (04) Four questions.

    Each question had Two (02) matching list-I and List-II.

    -1 in all other cases. Maximum marks for this section was 12.

    Student's Reactions - JEE Advanced 2018 Paper I

    According to FIITJEE, candidates had the following reactions:

    • Candidates found the overall level of paper was moderate but not easy.

    • According to some of the candidates, Maths was easy and Physics was relatively difficult. However, Chemistry has been reported of moderate level.

    • No mistakes have been reported till now as Paper 2 is still going on.

    Student's Reactions - JEE Advanced 2018 Paper II

    • Candidates found the overall level of paper moderate level.

    • Mathematics section was difficult compared to Physics & Chemistry.

    • No mistakes reported till now as complete paper is yet to be analysed.

    • Total no. of questions (54 questions) remains same as last year however total marks of JEE Advanced Paper-2 has changed from 183 to 180 marks this year.

    Overall Comparison:

    • Compared to Paper-1, students reported Paper-2 was relatively tough.

    • Students feel this year’s paper was tougher compared to 2017.

    Comparison with last year - Paper I

    The online exam of JEE Advanced 2019 has been compared with the last year paper:

    • The total number of questions i.e. 54 remains the same as last year, however, total marks of Paper 1 has changed from 183 to 180 this year.

    • As the test was computer based, candidates had the option to change their responses. They could mark it for review, save and next to proceed further.

    • Candidates had to give biometric attendance for which they had to report at 7:30 for Paper 1 and 12:45 for Paper 2.

    Comparison with last year - Paper II

    • The Matching Type questions had two columns to be matched. Last year(2017) there were three column questions as well.

    • Equal weightage was given to class XI & XII.

    • The Total marks of each Paper reduced from 183 to 180.

    • As Paper was conducted on Computer Based Mode , neither print of question Paper nor copy of Response Sheet was given to students.
