ncert books are enough for jee main 2021

Aditya kumar Student Expert 18th Nov, 2019
Hello there!

Ncert books are good for clearing your basic concepts especially ncert books of Chemistry are great , and thus ncert books are really good for your board examinations etc but when we talk about highly competitive entrance exams like Jee then ncert is not enough without any doubt, questions are based on higher order thinking skills , and you will get a variety of problems in the examination, and for that you really need to practice a variety of problems, so ncert is not enough, you can go for following books for jee mains :-

  • Concepts of physics (Vol. 1 and 2) by H.C Verma
    • Understanding Physics by D C Pandey (Arihant Publications): Set of books for
    • Electricity & Magnetism
    • Mechanics (Vol. 1 & 2)
    • Optics & Modern Physics
    • Waves & Thermodynamics
  • Problems in General Physics by I.E Irodov

  • NCERT Textbooks (for Class XI and XII )
  • Organic Chemistry by O P Tandon
  • Concise Inorganic Chemistry by J D Lee
  • Organic Chemistry by Morrison & Boyd
  • Objective Mathematics by R D Sharma
  • Complete mathematics for JEE Main TMH
  • Integral Calculus by Amit M Agarwal (Arihant Publications)
  • Differential Calculus by Amit M Agarwal (Arihant Publications)

which subject in JEE examination is more scoring

ÑÍthesh 18th Nov, 2019
So... It depends on your preparation and how well you are clear about the concepts of subjects. Comparing chemistry is the pretty easier one to score good rank in examination. This doesn't means that ,neglecting other subjects and focus only on chemistry. To score good rank ,you need to cover all three subjects with good weightage then only you will get good result. Do practice more with concentration. Hope I would have helped you a little bit. All the best for your examination!!

Can I prepare for Jee in 540 days??

Ayan Khan 18th Nov, 2019
Bro to be honest... This is enough time for preparation but you'll really need to work very very hard!  Seriously!

how to prepare for jee exam mainly physics and maths, I am weak in these , pls suggest any tips to prepare for exam , as just 40 days more to go....????

Siddhi Shenoy 17th Nov, 2019

Hello aspirant,

Since there are just few more weeks to go for JEE, you need to work really hard. You still have time so I would request you to utilize your time wisely and not waste it anymore. You need to be serious if you want to score good.

Starting with your preparations, first, just go through whatever lessons you find easy and mainly focus on the chapters which are really scoring. Read the summary and note down all the important formulas required to solve numerical problems. Also, learn tips and shortcuts to solve a particular problem. Solve and keep practicing MCQs of the previous years' papers so that you get a brief idea about how the questions are asked. Refer reference books but mainly focus on NCERT books class XI and XII. IN mathematics, see that you practice and solve sums everyday. You need to this in order to adjust your time in a right way. Solve the questions which you can and the difficult or time consuming questions should be answered later.

Good luck.
