    About uGNET 2026

    uGSOT National Entrance Test (uGNET)-  The upGrad School of Technology has provided the uGNET 2026 registration link on the official website, sot.upgrad.com. The next uGNET 2026 exam will be held on June 10. Aspirants looking for admission to CSE program must apply before that. The exam will be held in two shifts, each of 2-hour duration. The uGNET 2026 exam timings are 11 AM to 1 PM and 3 PM to 5 PM. The test will be remotely proctored. It will consist of 90 questions. As per uGNET exam pattern 2026, there will be three types of questions asked, easy, medium and difficult. There will be negative marking as well. 

    The syllabus for uGNET 2026 includes topics on Mathematical Ability, Logical Reasoning and Verbal Aptitude. The uGNET 2026 result will be announced online. The institute will also hold a personal interview for qualified candidates.

    • Students must have passed 12th in 2024/2025 or are appearing in 2026

    • Candidates must have a minimum 50% in PCM in Class 12 (or equivalent).

    Technical Requirements (Important)

    • The candidate must take the test on a laptop or desktop computer. Mobile phones and tablets are not allowed. 

    • A properly functioning webcam and microphone is necessary throughout the test.

    • Candidates must use the latest version of Chrome (v. 111+), Firefox (v. 128+), or Safari (v. 16.4+)

    • A stable internet connection of minimum or equal to 3 Mbps is essential.

    • One should avoid switching networks in between or using any shared or unstable connections while the exam is ongoing. 

    Guidelines for Taking the Exam

    • The exam room must be well-lit. 

    • Any presence of other individuals, background noise, or the use of external devices such as books, notes, calculators, or secondary screens is grounds for disqualification.

    • Face must be clearly visible, and the camera must be faced at eye level. 

    • Avoid unnecessary movement during the test. 

    The authority announces the result for uGNET 2026 on the official site. The uGNET result 2026 link is activated at sot.upgrad.com. Candidates have to use the login details like mobile number/email id and password to check the result. The authority announces the result for uGNET 2026 within 2 days of the exam. Thereafter, qualified candidates have to take part in the interview process for admission. 

    uGNET 2026 counselling is an online process. Only those who have cleared the result and interview can participate in uGNET 2026 counselling. They have to do the choice filling first In that, students must choose their desired campus and specialisation. Therafter, an amount of Rs 50,000 must be paid to block the seat. However, the authority also offers refund in case anyone cancels their seat. They can get a ₹40,000 refund within the first 10 days, a ₹25,000 refund within 30 days, and a ₹10,000 refund within 90 days. After 30th June 2026, the amount will not be refunded.

    uGSOT will conduct an interview for selected candidates in online mode. Meaning, only those who have cleared the exam will be able to attend the personal interview. The authority will release the final result within 7 days of conducting the interview.
