IIIT Hyderabad B.Tech Counselling 2026 - IIIT Hyderabad will conduct the IIIT Hyderabad 2026 B.Tech counselling in online mode. The authority will release a detailed notification for the IIIT Hyderabad B.Tech counselling 2026 dates on the official website iiit.ac.in. Separate counselling will be held for admission through various channels of IIIT Hyderabad B.Tech admission. The institute offers undergraduate and dual degree programs in engineering. Eligible candidates will have to fill out the IIIT Hyderabad B.Tech application form to participate in the counselling.

The merit list is prepared based on the candidate’s performance in the entrance exam or the mode through which they applied.
The shortlisted candidates will be issued a counselling letter. Candidates must download and take a printout of the same.
Students will be required to report to the institute as per the schedule mentioned in their counselling call letter.
Students applying through JEE Main will have to appear in the interview. Also, the payment of Rs.. 10,000 as seat confirmation fees and submission of documents of educational qualification and other necessary documents have to be done.
Applicants of all other modes will be interviewed as per the schedule mentioned in their counselling letter. The result of the interviews will be announced in due course of time in online mode on the official website of the institute.
All the qualified candidates will have to confirm their admission by paying seat confirmation fees and submitting documents of education and other required documents.
Candidates have to carry the following documents during the IIIT Hyderabad 2026 B.Tech counselling. Note that students have to carry all the documents in original along with two Xerox copies of all documents.

Class 10 and 12 Marksheets and Certificates.
Marksheets of B.Tech (For applicants of B.Tech lateral entry programs).
Hall ticket and score card of JEE Main (For applicants through JEE Main).
Olympiad/KVPY result (For applicants through Olympiad/KVPY channel).
Score card of result for students who applied through institute entrance exam.
Certificates of the category (applicable students).
Valid photo ID card and coloured photographs.
International Institute of Information Technology offers admission into the lateral entry in dual degree courses to students of B.Tech completing their second year from any other institute along with the 4 and 5 year courses in various engineering disciplines. The admission will be done through various modes which include the institute entrance test, JEE Main score, Olympiad/ KVPY, and DASA.

You should register for backup exams, as they provide more opportunities for admission to engineering colleges. Good option to consider alongside JEE are BITSAT for BITS campus, VITEEE for VIT campus, and various state-level exams like WBJEE for west benfgal and MHT CET for maharashtra.
