    About CG PET 2026

    CG PET 2026- CVPM has commenced the CG PET 2026 registration process on March 2, 2026. The CG PET 2026 application form link has been updated on the official website, vyapamcg.cgstate.gov.in. Candidates should fill out the form after going through the CG PET eligibility criteria. Those who have passed class 12 or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Technical vocational courses as optional subjects can apply for the test. After the completion of registration, candidates will be issued the CG PET admit card 2026. Registered candidates will be able to download the admit card of CG PET with the help of a registration ID and password. It is mandatory to carry the CG PET hall ticket to the test centre on the exam day. The CG PET exam will be conducted on May 14, 2026. 

    The authority provided the exam pattern online. It is important to check the CG PET syllabus and study accordingly. Moreover, it is extremely helpful to practice using the Chhattisgarh PET sample papers. The authority will release the CG PET 2026 result in online mode.     The authority will issue the CG PET 2026 admit card online. Candidates will be able to download the admit card of CG PET 2026 using credentials such as registration number and date of birth.     There are certain conditions and requirements that students willing to appear for the CG Pre Engineering Test will have to fulfil. Candidates can check the detailed CG PET eligibility criteria from the official website. Below are the CG PET eligibility criteria for the candidate’s reference:

    • Qualifying examination: Must pass class 12 or equivalent exam from a recognized board with physics and mathematics as the compulsory subjects. Candidates can have chemistry, biotechnology, biology, technical vocational courses as their optional subjects in class 12 or equivalent exam.

    • Qualifying Marks: General category candidates must have a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in the qualifying exam. The reserved category (SC/ST/OBC/female and PWD) should have a minimum aggregate of 40% marks in the qualifying exam.

    • Age Criteria: Applicant should not be less than 17 years as of December 31, 2025. While the upper age limit is 30 years. That is, candidates should not be more than 30 years old as of July 1 of the exam year. For the reserved category, there is 3 years relaxation in the upper age limit.

    • Domicile: It is a must to provide a domicile certificate as per the guidelines laid down by the government.

    CG PET Exam Result 2026 - Tie-breaking rule

    In the case of two or more candidates who have the same marks in CG PET, inter-se-merit will be followed. Mentioned below is the inter-se-merit rule that will be followed:

    • Candidates having higher scores in mathematics will be given a better merit rank above all. If a tie still exists, 

    • Physics scores will be considered. If a tie still exists,

    • Candidates older in age will be given priority. If the candidates' age is also the same, their scores from class XII will be considered.

    The authority will release the CG PET 2026 cutoff on the official website. The cutoff is the minimum mark required for admission to the participating institutes. Candidates whose marks in CG PET 2026 are more than the cutoff will be considered for admission. The authority will consider various factors like the number of candidates, the difficulty level of the qualifying exam, previous year's cutoff trends to determine the CG PET 2026 cutoff. Authorities will release the cutoff for the state and other state candidates separately.

    4th Step: Choice Locking -

    • The candidates have to fill in the institute's choices and courses as per the schedule.

    • Candidates have to lock their choices before the last date and take a printout along with the filled choices.

    5th Step: Document Verification - After the choice locking process is completed, they will have to report to the allotted centres for the document verification process. He/She should bring their original documents along with photocopies to the facility centres.
