Assam JLEE Exam 2024 - Counselling (Started), Result, Cutoff, Answer Key, Question Paper, Eligibility, Pattern

The Assam JLEE 2024 application form process concluded on July 8, 2024, online, at astu.ac.in. Candidates who wish to appear for the Assam Joint Lateral Entry Exam must complete the registration of Assam JLEE 2024 before the last date. The application process comprises registration, form filling, uploading of documents and payment of JLEE application fees. Candidates must follow the steps mentioned to fill out the Assam JLEE application form 2024. 

Steps to fill the Assam JLEE 2024 application form

Fill the application form - Candidates need to enter their `details like name, parent’s name, date of birth (age as of July 1, 2023), permanent residence proof of Assam, address, nationality, category, and preferred exam centres. 

Upload essential documents - Candidates will be required to upload the following documents in a specified format issued by the authorities. 

Pay online Assam JLEE application fee - After filling the application form, candidates need to pay the application fees using the mode available. Candidates have to pay the application fee of Rs. 1500 in online mode only. Candidates can pay the fee through net banking/credit card/debit card. 

Note: Instead of sending a copy of the JLEE application form 2024 or any other document to the authorities, candidates must take a printout of the filled-in application form. 

The candidates need to note down the application form number/user ID and password to download the admit card, check results, and more. If a candidate forgets his/her password, then he/she can retrieve the password by clicking on the “Forgot Password” button. 

Application Fees 

ASTU has released the Assam JLEE 2024 eligibility criteria online at official website. Candidates need to check the information brochure for Assam  JLEE eligibility criteria 2024. The eligibility criteria of Assam JLEE 2024 comprises of domicile, nationality, education qualification and much more. Candidates who fulfil the minimum Assam JLEE eligibility criteria 2024 can apply for Assam Joint Lateral Entry Exam.  Here is the detailed eligibility of the Assam JLEE exam: 

• It is mandatory for the candidates that they must have passed a recognized diploma with a minimum 3 years duration from any polytechnic institution affiliated to State Council of Technical Education (SCTE), Assam. 

• Candidates must have scored a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in their diploma exam.

• Only permanent residents of Assam will be allowed to participate in the Assam JLEE exam. 

• Candidates appearing in the final exams of their diploma course can also appear for the exam but have to submit their original mark sheet along with the passing certificate of the final diploma as stipulated. 

• Students of Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology (CIPET) and Assam Energy Institute, Sivasagar are also eligible for JLEE-2024

The authority has released the Assam JLEE exam pattern 2024 online. Candidates have to check the information brochure to know the Assam JLEE 2024 paper pattern. ASTU released the Assam JLEE 2024 admit card on July 12, 2024. The link for the JLEE admit card download is updated at, astu.ac.in. The admit card of Assam JLEE 2024 is available for the candidates who fill out the application form before the last date. To access the admit card online, candidates have to provide the login credentials. Here are the steps to download the admit card.

• First, visit the Assam JLEE official website.

• Click on the “Assam JLEE admit card” link appearing on the screen. 

• Enter log-in credentials such as application form number/user ID and password. 

• After a successful login, the admit card will be displayed. 

• Download the admit card and take a printout for future reference. 

Candidates are advised to carry their admit card on the examination day. Those candidates who will be found without the JLEE 2024 admit card will not be allowed to enter the exam centres. Candidates are advised to keep it safe for the counselling round and admission process.

To access the JLEE 2024 result candidates have to provide the login credentials such as application no. / username and password. The result of Assam JLEE 2024 consists of the marks scored by the candidates. Here is a step-by-step guide to download the Assam JLEE 2024 result.

• Visit the Assam JLEE official website - astu.ac.in. 

• Click on the “Assam JLEE 2024 scorecard” link appearing on the screen. 

• Next, enter the log-in credentials such as roll number and date of birth. 

• After a successful login, the result will be displayed on the screen. 

• Download the result and take a printout of it for future reference.

How to apply for Assam JLEE OMR sheet? 

Candidates can apply for the OMR sheet within a specific period of time. Candidates will have to pay a prescribed fee of Rs. 300. The fee can be paid to the office through a bank draft in favor of “Assam Science and Technology University” payable at SBI, AEC Branch, Jalukbari, Guwahati - 781013, Assam. Candidates must mention their name, roll number, and address in the application for the Assam JLEE OMR sheet. The application should be addressed to Member Secretary, JLEE 2024.

Assam JLEE cutoff is the minimum marks that will allow a number of candidates to get admission and a confirmed seat. DTE will announce these marks as it is responsible for holding the Assam JLEE 2024 counselling. 

The DTE will also announce a waitlist. The cutoff of JLEE 2024 will be separate for each branch and will be announced for each round of counselling. Candidates whose marks and roll numbers are announced will have to attend the JLEE counselling 2024 on the specified date. Candidates can go through the previous years' cutoff to garner a good idea of the marks required for admissions for each branch.

DTE, Assam is conducting the JLEE counselling 2024 in online mode. The authority has announced the Assam JLEE 2024 seat allotment for rounds 1 and 2 on the official website. The Assam JLEE counselling registration concluded on August 22, 2024. The JLEE 2024 counselling is being conducted in two rounds for candidates who have qualified the entrance exam. The steps involved in the Assam JLEE counselling are as follows:

Registration: Candidates will have to pay a non-refundable counselling fee of Rs. 600, followed by registering for the counselling process. 

Choice of Institute: Candidates have to select their preferred institute. 

Verification of Documents: It is important for the candidate to carry all the important documents and get them verified before admission. 

Seat allotment: As soon as all the above steps have been completed successfully, the authorities will allot seats to the candidates on the basis of their merit and choice of institute. They need to pay the admission fee and confirm their admission. 

Second round of Assam JLEE counselling: This round of counselling will be held for the vacant seats left after round 1. DTE Assam will publish a merit list of all candidates who will be qualified and will be eligible for admission to attend the same.
