    AIR 3 JEE Main 2026: NTA will shortly release the JEE Main 2026 rank list once theJEE Main session 1 result 2026 is out. The session 1 JEE Main result will be released on February 16, 2026. The JEE Main AIR 3 is the third-highest position after the JEE Main AIR 1 and 2. The All India Rank is important to decide admission criteria for top-tier NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. Note that candidates within the JEE Main 2026 toppers list will have better opportunities in top BTech branches. AIR also determines the eligibility to participate in the JEE Advanced 2026 exam for admission in IITs. The JEE Mains 2026 toppers list will be released online after the JEE Main 2026 session 1 results.

    JEE Mains 2026 Session 1 Tie-Breaking Rule

    NTA uses the tie-breaking rules to finalise the JEE Main All India Rank 2026. Here are the JEE tie-breaking rules pointers based on which the best of two scores is calculated for the BTech papers.

    • NTA score in Mathematics

    • NTA score in Physics, followed by

    • NTA score in Chemistry, followed by

    • Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in all the subjects in the Test, followed by

    • Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Mathematics in the Test, followed by

    • Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Physics in the Test, followed by

    • Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Chemistry in the Test followed by

    • If there is a tie even after this, candidates will be assigned the same rank.

    Is JEE Mains Session 1 tough in 2026?
