UPES will publish the UPESEAT eligibility criteria on the official website. The UPESEAT eligibility includes the minimum qualifications that candidates need to meet to apply for the UPESEAT 2026 exam. Academic Requirements:
Minimum 50% marks in Class 10 and 12, and 50% aggregate in PCM at the 12th-grade level.
For the B.Tech (Mathematics & Computing) programme: 70% in Class 10 and 12, including 70% in PCM
Age Eligibility: Candidates born after October 1, 2002, will only be eligible to apply for the exam.
Nationality: Indian nationals only
UPES will conduct the UPESEAT 2026 registration in online mode. The registration for the UPESEAT exam will be conducted phase-wise. The application period is expected to commence in September 2026 and continue till June 2026. Candidates can refer to the steps below to register for the UPESEAT BTech exam.

Log in and complete the UPESEAT application form.
Upload scanned photograph and signature (10-50 KB, JPG/JPEG).
Pay the application fee via credit/debit card or net banking. The application fee is Rs 1750.
Download and save the submitted application for future reference.
The authority will announce the UPESEAT Syllabus on the official website. All the important topics that will be covered in the UPESEAT exam will be mentioned in the UPESEAT syllabus. Candidates attempting the exam must refer to the UPESEAT syllabus without fail during exam preparation.
UPES will announce the UPESEAT 2026 exam pattern on the official website. The exam pattern for UPESEAT includes the marking scheme, total questions and division of questions subject-wise.

Candidates attempting the exam must prepare using the UPESEAT 2026 sample papers. The UPESEAT sample papers are mock tests that replicate the actual exam. Hence, candidates must practise the sample papers regularly to analyse their preparation and avoid failure with the pattern of the exam.
UPES will issue the UPESEAT 2026 admit card to candidates who have successfully registered for the exam. The UESEAT admit card can be downloaded by using the candidate’s registered email ID and password. Details about the exam date and time, passkey and exam instructions will be mentioned in the UPESEAT 2026 admit card. Candidates should verify the details in the UPESEAT 2026 admit card before the exam commences.
The authority will soon announce the dates for the UPESEAT 2026 exam. Candidates can choose their UPESEAT exam date and time during the registration process. The UPESEAT 2026 exam will be conducted in Remote- proctored Online mode(RPOM). Hence, candidates have to ensure that their system guidelines are according to the exam before attempting the exam.

Candidates with a valid rank in the exam can participate in the UPESEAT 2026 counselling process. The authority will conduct the UESEAT counselling in online mode. Here on your doubt I want to tell you the minimum eligibility criteria for UPSC CSE is that you must have an undergraduate degree from any recognised University and the most important thing is that UPSC doesn't ask for the stream of graduation.It welcomes every candidate,doesn't matter from where and in which stream they are and completed their graduation.
So to become an IAS officer you must have to clear UPSC CSE and for that you must have an undergraduate degree from any recognised University and for that you can do whatever you want and in whichever you feel interested.
So to start your preparation you just enter your first year of college and do to preparation according to the latest syllabus of UPSC CSE.
