UPES has released the UPESEAT eligibility criteria on the official website. The UPESEAT eligibility includes the minimum qualifications that candidates need to meet to apply for the UPESEAT 2026 exam. Academic Requirements:
Minimum 50% marks in Class 10 and 12, and 50% aggregate in PCM at the 12th-grade level.
For the B.Tech (Mathematics & Computing) programme: 70% in Class 10 and 12, including 70% in PCM
Age Eligibility: Candidates born after October 1, 2002, will only be eligible to apply for the exam.

The authority has commenced the UPESEAT 2026 registration on September 12, 2025. UPES will conduct the UPESEAT 2026 registration in online mode. The registration for the UPESEAT exam will be conducted phase-wise. Candidates can refer to the steps below to register for the UPESEAT BTech exam.

Register using the candidate’s personal details and verify using OTP.
Log in and complete the UPESEAT application form.
Upload a scanned photograph and signature (10-50 KB, JPG/JPEG).
Pay the application fee via credit/debit card or net banking. The application fee is Rs 1750.
Download and save the submitted application for future reference.

The authority will release the UPESEAT Syllabus on the official website. All the important topics that will be covered in the UPESEAT exam will be mentioned in the UPESEAT syllabus. The syllabus of UPESEAT 2026 consists of five sections: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English Language and Comprehension, and Current Affairs. Candidates attempting the exam must refer to the UPESEAT syllabus without fail during exam preparation.
UPES will release the UPESEAT 2026 exam pattern on the official website. The exam pattern for UPESEAT includes the marking scheme, total questions and division of questions subject-wise. UPES will issue the UPESEAT 2026 admit card to candidates who have successfully registered for the exam. Candidates with a valid rank in the exam can participate in the UPESEAT 2026 counselling process. The authority will conduct the UESEAT counselling in online mode. Here on your doubt I want to tell you the minimum eligibility criteria for UPSC CSE is that you must have an undergraduate degree from any recognised University and the most important thing is that UPSC doesn't ask for the stream of graduation.It welcomes every candidate,doesn't matter from where and in which stream they are and completed their graduation.
So to become an IAS officer you must have to clear UPSC CSE and for that you must have an undergraduate degree from any recognised University and for that you can do whatever you want and in whichever you feel interested.
So to start your preparation you just enter your first year of college and do to preparation according to the latest syllabus of UPSC CSE.
