UPSEE Exam Pattern 2018 – AKTU has released the UPSEE 2018 exam pattern that can be used by the candidates to learn about finer details of the exam, like type of questions asked, marking scheme, total number of questions asked, and the paper the candidate needs to appear in. As per UPSEE 2018 exam pattern, depending on the course the candidate opts for, the exam pattern may also change. For example, if a candidate opts for B.Tech, the candidate have to appear in Paper 1. However, B.Tech (Biotechnology) candidates can opt for any of Paper 1 and Paper 2. The entrance test will have objective multiple type questions, with one correct answer. Candidates will have to enter the responses on an OMR sheet, using a black or blue ballpoint pen. Questions will be set in both English and Hindi, for all engineering papers except for B.Arch. Candidates planning to apper for UPSEE must go through the rest of the article carefully, and incorporate key elements of UPSEE exam pattern 2018 into their preparation strategy to get better results.

Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
50 objective-type questions each of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for a total of 150 questions
For every correct answer, 4 marks will be awarded.
There is no negative marking.

50 objective-type questions each of Physics, Chemistry and Biology
AG-I, AG-II and AG-III
50 objective-type questions each of AG-I, AG-II and AG-III with a total of 150 questions.
Aptitude Test for Architecture & Design Part-A: Mathematics and Aesthetic Sensitivity Part–B: Drawing Aptitude
50 objective-type questions each of Mathematics and Aesthetic Sensitivity with a total of 100 questions and Two questions to test drawing aptitude.

UPSEE Exam Pattern 2018 – Key Highlights
The duration of UPSEE 2018 will be 3 hours for Paper 1, 2 and 3. However, the testing time for Paper 4 will be 2 hours 30 minutes.
Candidates have to enter their responses on an OMR answer sheet against the respective question number.
Questions will be objective multiple type, except for Drawing Aptitude Test (Part B of Paper 4)
Candidates have to choose only one choice as correct answer. More than one answer will be considered as incorrect attempt.
Candidates will not be penalized for incorrect attempt. However, a record of the incorrect attempts given by the candidate will be maintained.
Candidates have to enter the answers on the OMR sheet using a ballpoint pen (Black/ Blue) only. This also means UPSEE 2018 wil be conducted in offline mode.
Answers will be evaluated by OMR methodology
Question papers 1, 2, and 3 will be in both English and Hindi. In case of any ambiguity, however, the English version will be considered final.
In case of Paper 4, candidates can opt for either English or Hindi to answer Part B.
Also, in all cases candidates must use Standard English Numerals only.
