JEE Main 2026 Application Requirements & Process To Fill - Candidates registering for the session 2 exam must be aware for the JEE Main application requirements. NTA is conducting the JEE Main 2026 application form filling process between March 12 to 13 for the extended period. NTA has mandated that candidates have to now fill in their Class 11 board registration number while filling up the JEE Main application form. This step is being implemented to ensure that there is no clash between the JEE Main 2026 exam and the class 12 CBSE exams. Hence, it can be expected that the authority will allot the exam dates to the candidates to avoid the clash with the Class 12th exam.

NTA had issued an advisory urging all applicants to update their Aadhar card as well as their UDID and category certificate, if applicable. The Aadhar card must be updated as per the candidate’s 10th class details. Candidates must also update their latest photograph, address and father's name.
NTA published the JEE Main 2026 eligibility on the official website. Along with the eligibility criteria, the authority also published the list of required documents. The basic eligibility requirements for the JEE Main application are
Students should have passed the 12th class or qualified for the exam in 2025 or 2026 in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/and Technical Vocational Subjects.
Candidates who have passed the class 12 or are in equivalent examination in 2024, 2025 or appearing in 2026, can apply for the JEE Main exam.
There is no age limit for candidates to apply for the JEE Main exam.
NTA will conduct the JEE Main 2026 registration for session 2 in online mode. The brief overview of the JEE Main 2026 application process is given below

Personal and academic details of the candidate must be entered in the application form.
Once the details are entered, candidates must capture a live photo, upload the scanned copies of the required documents, photo, signature, class 10th marksheet and identity proof (if not using Adhaar or DIgilocker). The prescribed fee must also be paid.
Once the application is submitted successfully, candidates must save the confirmation page for future reference.
The authority conducted the phase 2 JEE Mains 2026 registration process online from February 1 to 25, 2026. Eligible candidates have to upload the documents mentioned below during the JEE Mains 2026 application process.
Recent passport-size photograph with 80% face in JPG or JPEG format in size between 10 kb to 200 kb.
Candidate's Signature in JPG or JPEC format in size from 10kb to 100 kb.
Scanned PDF copy of 10th class marks sheet in size from 50 kb to 300 kb.
Scanned copy of Identity proof like Aadhar in JPG or JPEG in size between 10 kb to 200 kb.
Scanned PDF copy of Disability / UDID certificate of size between 50 kb to 300 kb.
NTA also allows candidates to edit their application form after registration. The dates for the JEE Main 2026 application form correction have been announced by the authority online. They are on February 27 & 28, 2026.
