NTA JEE Mains 2026- The National Testing Agency (NTA) has introduced Aadhaar based update facility for JEE Main 2026 on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. According to the recent NTA Mains advisory, candidates will need to provide details such as their name, date of birth, gender, photograph, and address when filling out the registration form. NTA will only allot exam centres to candidates in their state of permanent residence. The steps taken for a smooth registration process will lessen errors. However, candidates must enter their parents’ names manually. In case of a name mismatch between Aadhaar and Class 10 certificates, students can easily resolve it during the online JEE Mains 2026 application process.
Along with this, NTA has announced the dates for both JEE Mains 2026 sessions. Session 1 will be conducted from January 21 to 30, 2026 and the NTA JEE Mains Session 2 test dates are from April 2 to 9, 2026. All the dates and details related to NTA JEE Mains for the 2026 session are available on the official website- jeemain.nta.nic.in. NTA has also mentioned that there will be more exam cities this year to facilitate JEE Mains 2026 aspirants living in remote areas. The JEE Main 2026 exam will be conducted in a total of 323 exam centres. This will also provide equal opportunities to PwD/PwBD candidates.
Due to the automatic information update through the Aadhar Card, candidates will receive the following benefits:
It will reduce the time required to fill in the details.
This process will also reduce mismatched details between the JEE Mains 2026 form and the Aadhar card.
Previously, many students faced the issue of having different details in their Aadhar card and the application form, which led to JEE Main form rejections. However, candidates will no longer face this problem in the JEE Main 2026 registration process.
