JEE Main 2026 Aadhaar Verification: NTA conducts Aadhaar verification during the JEE Mains 2026 registration process. Therefore, candidates are advised to enter their details correctly in the JEE Mains 2026 application form. As per the official notification, the name, date of birth, gender, photograph, and address must be updated as per their Aadhaar card. The NTA will perform the JEE Main 2026 Aadhar verification based on this information. All the details provided in the JEE Main application form must align with the Aadhar card. The JEE Main 2026 for session 1 will be conducted from January 21 to 30, 2026, while for session 2 JEE Main exam will be held from April 2 to 9, 2026. JEE Main Aadhaar verification 2026 Details

The NTA has released the JEE Main Aadhar card verification details. Candidates can find the JEE Main application details on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. The authority has officially released the advisory. Candidates are advised to fill in the application form details like name, date of birth, gender, photograph, and address correctly. All the details filled should be according to the candidate’s Aadhar card. The NTA will verify all the candidates’ details and information from the Aadhar Card.

JEE Main 2026 Aadhaar verification-Name Mismatch

The authority states that candidates will be able to correct the name mismatch in the Aadhar card from the application form. The JEE Main registration 2026 has started from October 31, 2026. Candidates are required to use the following process: in case of a name mismatch

Step 1: First, visit the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.

Step 2: Candidates can look for the Aadhar name link option.

Step 3: Here, candidates can change their name according to the Aadhar card.

Candidates should be alert while filling out the application form for JEE Main 2026. Students should upload the correct documents in the right format to avoid any errors in the JEE Main registration process. Below are the documents required for JEE Main registration:

If you passed 12th in 2025 and did not appear in JEE till now, then this is your eligibility:

JEE Main

  • JEE Main can be given for 3 consecutive years after 12th.

  • Each year has 2 sessions .

  • You are eligible in 2025, 2026 and 2027 .

  • Since you did not appear in 2025, you still have:

    • 2026 – 2 attempts

    • 2027 – 2 attempts

JEE Main attempts left: 4

JEE Advanced

  • JEE Advanced can be given for 2 consecutive years after 12th.

  • You were eligible in 2025 and 2026 .

  • Since you missed 2025, you can appear only in 2026 .

JEE Advanced attempts left: 1

For JEE (for IT / engineering) :

10th percentage

  • There is no fixed minimum percentage needed in Class 10 to prepare for JEE.

  • You just need to pass Class 10 .

Important part is Class 12

  • You must study Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in Class 11 and 12 .

  • You must pass Class 12 from a recognized board .

Minimum marks in Class 12

  • For JEE Advanced : at least 75% marks in Class 12
    (65% for SC/ST).

  • For JEE Main : you must pass Class 12.
    Many colleges also ask 75% .

If you study in a foreign country

  • Your Class 11 and 12 certificate must be equivalent to CBSE/ISC .

  • You need an equivalence certificate from AIU (Association of Indian Universities) .

  • You must have Physics, Chemistry, Maths .
