I have got 79.1876 percentile in jee 2020 can I get jamia millia islamia.Any b.tech branch.I am a Muslim obc student.pls reply.

Devraj choudhary Student Expert 22nd Jan, 2020

Hii

According to rough estimation your general rank will be in range of 185k, if not more than 9 lakh students appear in april session else it will be much worse.

Last year the closing rank for your category in JMI was 76657 for civil engineering.  So, it seema you have very low chances for getting it.  So, reappear in april and get better score.

All the best

I got 93.96 PR in JEE 2020 At 9th Jan 2nd shift and I am from OBC Can I Get Admission In Nirma? I am from gujrat.

Sunil Kumar singh 22nd Jan, 2020

Hi dear,

You have got 93.96 percentile in JEE main that means your rank should be around 52488. You can also calculate your rank as

Rank=(100-your percentile)×869010÷100

You may get MECHANICAL engineering in ITNU. ITNU also takes admission on the basis of GUJCET so you can appear and perform better for better branch. Hope it helps

IS THE JEE 2020 PERCENTILE GIVEN ON THE BASIS OF CATEGORY OR THE PERCENTILE IS COMMON FOR EVERYBODY CONSIDERING EVERYONE AS GENERAL CATEGORY.PLS REPLY .

Priyaanka Sarkar Student Expert 22nd Jan, 2020

A percentile is the no.of Candidates who scored better than you in the exam. Going by that, to calculate your JEE percentille, we should use the formula 100 - your total percentile score. Now 869010 Candidates appeared for Jan exam. Going by that, your rank formula  is (100 - your total score) X 869010 /100. Your rank can be predicted by using the formula, (100-your total percentile)*869010/100. Let's say the number of candidates for April exam increased to 12,00,000 then your final rank shall be (100 - your total score) X 12,00,000/100

In short, it is not based on your Category. This is overall rank.

Devraj choudhary Student Expert 22nd Jan, 2020

Hii

Since you are eligible for pwd seat, you can take admission on the basis of pwd rank. Your rank will depend on the performance of other pwd student. So, please wait till the pwd rank is declared by the NTA and then analyse last years trend.

You can also use college predictor for rough estimation. https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor
