JEE Main Reservation Criteria 2020 - National Testing Agency will release the official JEE Main reservation criteria 2020. The reservation criteria of JEE Main 2020 will comprise of category wise reservation candidates and the eligibility conditions for applying for reservation. Candidates who belong to EWS, OBC, SC, ST, female candidates and Person with Disability (PwD) categories will be eligible to claim reservation in JEE Main. Candidates who fall under reservation categories will be given special advantages in the application, seat allocation and other important processes. JEE Main Reservation Criteria 2020 - Eligible Categories
OBC (Non-Creamy Layer – NCL, where annual income of family < Rs. 8 lakh)

JEE Main 2020 reservation criteria will follow the eligibility and reservation rules set by Government of India.
Admissions to candidates in NITs, IITs and GFTIs under reserved categories will be given to only those classes/ castes/ tribes which will be in the respective central list published by the government of India.
Candidates who are applying for admissions in state engineering colleges accepting JEE Main 2020 scores will be given reservation as per the reservation set by the state government.
JEE Main 2020 reservation criteria is different for different institutions. Candidates can check the reservation criteria for different institutes below:

IITs: All colleges of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) offer admissions under All India Quota basis.
NITs: The National institute of Technology or NITs offer admissions to students under State Quota and Other State Quota basis. In the admission process, 50% seats are reserved for candidates eligible for home state quota and the rest 50% seats are reserved for other state candidates.
Home State Quota*: Home State Quota is the reservation for candidates who belong to the state where the NIT is located.
Other State Quota: Candidates who belong to any other state apart the state where the particular NIT is located will be eligible to claim reservation under Other State Quota.
*In states and union territories which do not have any NIT, Home State Quota will be considered as per the table given below:

Dadar and Nagar Haveli
Note: All NITs except NIT Warangal and NIT Goa will follow the above mentioned reservation criteria.

Candidates who belong to Telangana can claim reservation under this quota.
Other States Quota
Candidates who belong to other states and candidates who belong to Andhra Pradesh, both can apply for admission under this quota.
Andhra Pradesh Quota
Candidates whose home state is Andhra Pradesh can apply for admissions under this quota.
Candidates whose home state is Goa will havev 40% reservation of seats. In case, seats are vacant, 10% seats will be filled by candidates from Daman & Diu, Dadar & Nagar Haveli and Lakshadweep
Candidates whose home state is not Goa, Daman & Diu, Dadar & Nagar Haveli and Lakshadweep can apply for admission, 2018
IITs: Indian Institute of Technology or IITs offer admission to students on the basis of All India Quota.
GFTIs: Government Funded Technical Institutes or GFTIs offer admissions to students on All India Quota basis. However, there are some exceptions to this which have been given below:
For Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi and IIEST Shibpur - Admission will be given to candidates on the basis of home state quota and other state quota.
For Assam University, Silchar – The university will give admission to students on the basis of Home State Quota - candidates whose home state is Assam, and All India Quota – all candidates including home state candidates.
Candidates belonging to the reserved categories will have to follow given steps to claim reservation as per the JEE Main 2020 reservation criteria:
While filling the JEE Main 2020 application form, candidates will have to cleary specify their category in the required section.
During the counselling procedure, candidates will be required to produce a valid proof such as a relevant caste or category certificate etc.
Candidates who will be unable to produce a valid proof will be considered under unreserved category and their claim for reservation will be cancelled.
Candidates will have to produce the following document to claim reservation as per the JEE Main reservation criteria 2020:
Category certificate duly issued by the competent authority in a prescribed format.
PwD candidates need to have a disability certificate.

JEE is an exam for admission into IIT NIT and other government funded Institute for engineering in India. Almost all of the Government colleges in India get admission through JEE exam but exam itself conducted in two phases number one is mains and number 2 is advanced.
You have to score a minimum marks more than your cut off to be eligible for JEE advanced. This is score you have to get in JEE main exam.
