JKCET 2020 - The J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examination (JKBOPEE) will conduct the common entrance test, JKCET on April 26 for admission in undergraduate engineering courses. Previously, the exam date was April 19 but it has been rescheduled due to reasons. The application form of JKCET 2020 will be available from February third week in online mode. Students seeking admission in B.Tech courses in any of the JKCET participating institutes have to fill the application form and qualify entrance examination. Students desirous of admission through JKCET 2020 are advised to ensure their eligibility before applying. JKCET exam will be held in offline mode consisting of 180 multiple choice questions, 60 each from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. JKCET admit card 2020 will be issued to candidates who will submit the application form within due dates. Result of JKCET 2020 will be released in online mode in May and students who will qualify will be called for counselling and admission process. Students can check below the detailed eligibility criteria of JKCET 2020. Students who will be applying for admission through JKCET are advised to first ensure their eligibility failing which the application would be cancelled. JKCET eligibility criteria 2020 are the conditions which every applicant have to fulfill in order to be considered for admission.
Candidates must be permanent residents of the J&K state
Candidates must have passed class 12 or its equivalent examination with 50% marks (40% for reserved category)
Candidates must have Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects in class 12
Candidates must be of minimum 17 years age on December 31, 2020
Students who will be appearing in their qualifying exam are also eligible to apply
The application form of JKCET 2020 will be available from February third week in online mode. Students have to fill the JKCET 2020 application form for appearing in the entrance exam. JKCET 2020 applicants must check their eligibility before filling the application form. The process of application for JKCET 2020 includes various steps like registration, application form filling, uploading scanned documents, payment of application fees and final submission of form. Students must note that since the complete procedure of JKCET application form 2020 is online, they need not send the submitted application form to the office. Students are however advised they retain a copy of the filled application form with them till the completion of admission process. The detailed step by step procedure for filling the application form is as follows
Step 1- Registration: Students have to first register for JKCET 2020 by providing their basic details like name, mobile number, email address and date of birth. Students will also be required to create a password which will be used for all subsequent login towards filling application form. After entering all the required details, click on “Register” button to complete the registration process. Students will receive an email containing their application number.
Step 2- Filling Application Form: Students will be required to login using their application number and password to fill the application form. Details of educational qualification, parents name, address for communication, choice of exam city and others have to be entered during filling of JKCET application form 2020. Students must be very cautious while filling the application form as incorrect information would lead to cancellation of form. After entering all the details, click on “Submit” button for submission of application form.
Step 3- Uploading Scanned Images: Students have to upload scanned images of their recent passport size coloured photograph and signature. The images should be exactly within the specified dimension.

Step 4- Payment of Application Fees: Students will be required to pay the application fees of Rs.1200 in online mode using credit/debit card or net banking. Students must keep a copy of the fee payment receipt after successful payment.
Step 5- Final Submission of Form: Students are advised to check all the information submitted by them before finally submit the application form. Any incorrect or wrong information would lead to cancellation of JKCET application form. After verifying all the details, click on “Final Submit” button to submit the form.
Students are not required to send the copy of application form to office but they should retain the print copy till the complete admission process.
Students who would be appearing in JKCET 2020 must clearly know the pattern of entrance exam. JKCET 2020 exam pattern informs about the mode of exam, type of questions asked in the exam, marking scheme and much more.

Students must refer to the official syllabus of JKCET 2020 for preparation of exam as questions in the exam are formulated strictly in accordance to the syllabus. JKCET syllabus 2020 contains topics from each subject which are covered in the exam. JKCET 2020 exam has three sections namely Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics containing 60 questions from each subject. All the questions in JKCET 2020 will be objective in nature having four options for every question with one correct answer. There will also be negative marking for incorrect answers in the exam.
Students who will complete the application process within due dates will be issued admit card for appearing in the JKCET 2020 exam. Admit card will have details about the exam venue, date and timing of exam, candidate details like name and photograph, paper for which appearing and exam day instructions. JKCET admit card 2020 will be released in online mode in the official website and can be downloaded with the help of application number. Students must check all the details mentioned in their admit card and discrepancies, if any should be rectified before the exam. Students must note that they will not be allowed to appear in the exam without proper admit card.
Candidates who will be appearing in JKCET 2020 are advised to refer sample papers for better understanding of exam. JKCET 2020 sample papers will help students understand the pattern of exam, types of questions asked, topics which have been covered in past years. Sample papers are the simulation of real exam and practising the same will help students in practising the time management, understanding the strong and weak areas in subject and eventually score good marks.
The exam conducting authority will release official answer key of JKCET 2020 in online mode after the conclusion of the exam. Students who would appear in JKCET will be able to download the answer key from the official website. The answer key will have correct responses to the questions asked in the exam. Candidates can calculate their expected score with the help of JKCET 2020 answer key before the announcement of results. Students who might have any objections against the answer in the answer key will also be allowed to challenge it within specified dates by submitting the proof supporting their claim. The authority will release final answer key and result after considering challenges against provisional answer key.
The result of JKCET 2020 will be announced by the exam conducting authority in May. Result will be available in online mode in the official website of JKCET 2020 and can be accessed with the help of application number. JKCET result 2020 will mention marks secured by candidates in individual subject along with the total marks and rank. Students who will be declared qualified will be eligible for admission in all participating institutes of JKCET 2020.
The exam conducting authority will release merit list of JKCET 2020 after the announcement of result. JKCET merit list will be formulated on the basis of marks secured by the candidate in the entrance exam. Merit list will be used for the allotment of seats at the time of counselling. Students must note that if two candidates obtain the same mark, then merit will be decided as in the following order
Candidates having higher marks in Mathematics will be placed high in merit
Candidates having higher marks in Physics will be placed high on merit
In case the tie still exist, candidate of higher age will be placed high on merit
The counselling of JKCET 2020 will be conducted in June in offline mode. The official exam conducting authority will release a separate notification after result mentioning the detailed procedure and schedule of counselling. Students who will qualify the entrance exam will be eligible for admission, subject to meeting other conditions. The counselling will be conducted in offline mode where every eligible candidate have to report to the counselling venue as per the schedule. The academic qualification for JKCET exam is that the candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized statutory Board/University. English.
