The authority might conduct the JKCET 2025 counselling in online or offline mode. Last year, the authority conducted the JKCET counselling in offline mode. Candidates who qualify the JKCET exam will be eligible to participate in the JKCET counselling. Candidates can apply for B.Tech admission to various participating institutes through the JKCET 2025 counselling. The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations conducts the JKCET counselling based on the candidate’s merit in JKCET 2025 exam. Step 1 - Document Verification and Registration: All qualified candidates will have to first register themselves for the counselling process. Step 2 - Choice Filling and Locking: Next, the verified candidates will have to log in using their JKCET 2025 registration number to fill their preferred choice of courses and colleges in online mode. Before filling out their choices, the candidates will be able to check the course wise, category wise, and college wise seat matrix which will be released by the authorities. All of the choices selected by the candidates have to be in the order of preference. The candidates will also be able to add, rearrange, or modify their choices before the final date. No changes will be accepted after the choices are locked by the candidates.
Step 3 - JKCET Allotment of Seats: After the choice-filling process concludes, the authority will announce the seat allotment result for JKCET 2025. Candidates can know the colleges for admission based on their merit and preferred seats. There will be two rounds of JKCET allotment along with an additional round in case of vacant seats.
Step 4 - Reporting at Allotted Institutes: The shortlisted candidates will have to report to their respective allotted institutes to confirm their admission. While reporting to the institute, the candidates will have to produce their documents along with the allotment letter. The required fee also has to be paid by the candidates.
