Is cengage mathematics by G.Tewani enough to get at least 48 marks in jee main April session 2020 ??

prem meghani 28th Jan, 2020

Dear Aspirant

Cengage mathematics by.G tewani is one of the best books to prepare for jee.mains or Jee advanced.

But the main point is that You should try learning concepts from G tweani book because every topic has in depth knowledge and lot of practice problems with proper logic behind it .

You should definitely go for it .If you will use the book in proper way means after reading theory if you will for question solving and analysing them then you can acheive very good marks in mathematics.

Thanks.

All the very best

I got 99.4 percentile in JEE Main Jan. Can I get IT branch at NIT Allahabad ?

Rishi Garg 28th Jan, 2020

You can calculate your rank in JEE Main Paper 1 using the formula:

Rank = (100-percentile)*(No. of students appeared for the examination)/100

As the no. of students appeared for Paper 1 (Jan) are around 869000, your rank will be around 5000. However as the no. of students in April changes, your rank will change according to that.

With this rank, there are good chances of getting IT Branch at NIT Allahabad. You can check the last years' cutoffs for this Institutes using the link given:

However, to get the list of all Institutes which you may get with this rank, kindly use the college predictor through the link provided below:

i scored 86 percentile in jee main 2020(7 jan ,2 shift) can u tell that can i get any govt engineering college in india me from general cat?

Raj Aryan Sharma 28th Jan, 2020

Hi Ayushi.

The official cutoff of JEE Mains will be released long with the final results after the April Mains. The NTA will announce category wise cutoffs then. But you can still check your estimated rank using the formula (100-your total percentile)*869010/100. So with this percentile, you estimated All India rank is around 1,21,000. Now, if the number of candidates giving the exam in April increase, you rank will go higher up.

Well, yes with that percentile, you might be able to get some GFTIs like (Mentioning refering to Other State quota) -

  • Agricultural Engineering in Assam University, Silchar .
  • You can get other GFTIs given they are in your Home State.

You can refer to the following link - https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-top-gftis

Also, to predict your college, you can use this college predictor-
