    IITs Cutoff for B.Tech Mechanical Engineering 2026 - Opening & Closing Ranks

    IITs cutoff for B.Tech Mechanical Engineering 2026 - The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has released the IIT BTech Mechanical Engineering Round 1 cutoff 2026 on its official website, josaa.nic.in. Candidates can now check the institute-wise opening and closing ranks for admission to Mechanical Engineering programmes offered by the IITs. The remaining cutoffs for subsequent JoSAA counselling rounds will be announced separately. For the Open category, IIT Bombay recorded the most competitive Round 1 cutoff with a closing rank of 1,852, followed by IIT Delhi at 2,131. On the other hand, IIT Dharwad reported the highest closing rank of 12,908, while IIT Jammu closed at 12,718, indicating comparatively lower competition for admission. The IIT Mechanical Engineering cutoff is released in the form of opening and closing ranks and is determined based on factors such as JEE 2026 Advanced performance, seat availability, candidate preferences, and the overall difficulty level of the examination.
