NIT B.Arch Cutoff 2026 Percentile: Candidates can expect the NIT B.Arch 2026 cutoff percentile for the general category to be between 93 and 95 percentile. In order to be accepted in the B.Arch course, one has to clear JEE Main Paper 2, specifically created to allow architecture aspirants. These cutoffs depend on many factors including the difficulty of exams, the number of students taking the exam, the number of vacancies and previous year trends. After the JEE Main B.Arch results are announced, NITs release their respective cutoff percentiles for B.Arch admissions.

The JEE Main cutoff percentile is the minimum score that a candidate has to score in order to be admitted in a given NIT. Successful candidates scoring above the cutoff percentile are eligible to attend Joint Seat Allocation (JoSAA) counseling, the seat allocation centralized mechanism of institutes of NITs and other institutes involved.

The authority calculates the B.Arch cutoff based on the normalisation formula. First, the raw marks of the candidates are obtained and then the percentile cutoff is decided. Below is the normalisation formula used to calculate the B.arch cutoff.
Percentile score = (Number of candidates appearing for the session is equal to or less than the total percentile score / Total number of candidates appeared in the session) x 100.
Note: Raw score refers to the total marks obtained by the candidates after calculating the marks according to the marking scheme.
